11th region is unreal!!

I may just save my money for the sweet 16 and just make a trip to the 11th regional tournament and watch those teams beat up on each other. It dosen't hardly seem fair that only one team can make it out lol.

The strong 11th region loses it's glitter once the regional tourney is over. I can see a Madison Central winning the region and losing badly in the first round to UHA. If this were to happen I can see UHA going all the way. A player like Hopson can win the day on Saturday ala Antoine Barbour of E-town a few years ago. The team with the best conditioned athletes usually wins on Saturday because of playing two strenuous games. That would favor UHA/11th winner or Mason County.

Madison Central and UHA already played. It was barn burner and went down to the wire with UHA barely pulling away by hopson's dunks. (King Of The Bluegrass)

That's true but i'd say UH is running full throttle right now and isn't going to let up. During the time they beat MC they had lost 3 games within 23 days (Hoptown, Male, and Hopkins County) They have won 14 in a row (including All "A") and just won one of the toughest district's this side of the state. I think that if they don't fall to one of the Region Two teams that they will be able to keep up with whoever comes out of the 11th. It's just a question of can they put it away with 5 minutes to go in the game.

And also on a side note. Everyone is saying the 11th will win it because of the teams in that region. So does that mean if the 11th loses in the first or second round of the Sweet 16 that whoever beat them will win state because they just beat the 11th???

I don't think you can say whoever wins the 11th will win state, just because a team like Madison Central or Dunbar could pull off a a regional upset and then get beat 1st round of the Sweet 16. Especially after being worn out from the region.

I agree with you there MCHS. WHOEVER comes out of the 11th will be worn out for sure. I personally think Mason has the best chance.

Worn out? The boys' Sweet 16 is more than a week after the regional tournaments.

You go play LexCath, Station, Scott Co, Madison Central, and Dunbar and tell me if your ready to take on the rest of the State just a week later.

Who is playing 5 games?

These are kids we are talking about. They recover quickly and will be fine for the state tournament.

I believe the 11th region finals is Monday night. They have 9 days off until they play again. That is plenty of time to get rested and prepared!
