Tagging Smith wouldn't surprise me at all. They will not tag a backup tackle, when the starters are already making top dollar. With the two young safeties, I don't see them tagging Williams either. With that said, I don't think they'll use it this year.

We need to keep Andrews... He is going to get a lot of money anyway and I would prefer to just work out a deal but if you have to tag him... We spent too much time on him making him into a player to just lose him once he gets there...

According to Lewis, they do plan on using it, but it makes no sense to use on Andrews or Smith. Too much money for a back-up OL guy who has started less than 20 games, and too much money for a DL guy who had 2 sacks last year and doesn't get more tackles than he does.

If they were going to do it I'd think it'd be with Smith.

I think it will be Williams because it would be cost effective vs. using it on the other players.

If they tag Andrews, which I think they will, he will start at right guard in place of Bobbie Williams, if Willie is healthy.

Curnutte is reporting that the Bengals have to pay Smith 120% of last year's salary if they tag him again; there is no way they will pay over $10 million for Smith.

Has there been talk of him going to the Steelers? That don't make much sense to me because I know that is one of the reasons why we never switched to a 3/4 because Justin Smith can't play DE for a 3/4 defense?
