What historical event would you change?

Being a teacher, I have to put a little educational bent on this what if scenarios.

 

You have the power to change ONE HISTORICAL EVENT. What would it be?

 

Example: you could have the Titanic captain change course and everyone survives and we don't have to spend 2 years listening to Celine Dion.

 

Example: you could prevent Hitler from gaining power in Germany.

 

Example: you could have stopped the first slaves from coming to the US and stopped slavery for every.

 

Example: You could have had Pilate release Jesus instead of Barnabas.

 

Example: You could have prevented Mrs. O'Leary's cow from kicking over the lantern.

 

Example: You could have stopped the terrorists at the airline gates on 9/11.

 

What would be the one historical event you would have changed?

From a humaitarian view, the 2004 earthquake and tsunami that claimed over 275,000 lives would be pretty high on my list.

I wander how the our world and the United States would be different if President Abraham Lincoln and President John F. Kennedy had not been assassinated?

Not to be too technical here, but there were slaves for thousands of years before they arrived in America.
