February 5, 200818 yr What does that have to do with anything? In the NFL, teams come from nowhere to get to the Super Bowl at the time. Besides that, they HAVE won playoff games in at least 2 of the last 5 years. Exactly, teams come from nowhere. Therefore you should enjoy the Pack's less-than-stellar odds. They are low because oddsmakers know that Favre, while playing well in spurts, will inevitably make a horrible throw at a horrible time to cost his team a game. The Giants got a real big trophy because of that this year. Look, I'm not saying that Green Bay isn't a good team. They are young and talented. But Favre is at the end of his line (don't let one pretty good statistical year fool you) and until they make a commitment to put a younger quarterback with their younger team, I can't see them making noise.
February 5, 200818 yr I've heard from a few people that we could possibly expect a Manning-Manning Super Bowl next year... Colts vs. Giants.
February 5, 200818 yr The Giants aren't getting back to the Super Bowl... You never really know. Who would have predicted them this year, unless you are a true Giants fan and believe that they will get there every year? Just saying what people around me have been saying allll day.
February 5, 200818 yr The Giants aren't getting back to the Super Bowl... 8th youngest team in the NFL, they get back Shockey, Kiwanuka, and possibly Derrick Ward. Not to mention they're $20 million UNDER the cap. They got a shot.
February 5, 200818 yr Green Bay still getting no respect. :thumb: I agree, they weren't that far away this season and if Favre can come close to the season that he had then why not? Plus, that Packer team was a very young one. I expect them to be a lot better with another year under their belts and be right in the thick of things. GO PACK!!!!!
February 5, 200818 yr Indy will be a threat as usual, imo the Giants can defintely make some noise again. Colts, Patriots, Packers, Giants all should be very good again. Who really thought that the Giants would heve been there this season, probably no one. Those four that I mentioned along with maybe the Cowboys should be the favorites and there is always a suprise team that comes up and challenges.
February 5, 200818 yr Who is the least likely team? Miami? Oakland? I think Miami, but I do think they will improve with all the changes the Tuna is making. Of course there is no where to go but up, they are on bottom. They may get mixed up and think they are the Dallas Cowboys.
February 5, 200818 yr The Packers were the youngest team in the NFL this past season. In my opinion, I just see them getting better and better for the next couple of years. Again. Favre is one of my favorite players ever, but I just can't see him getting back to the big game.

February 6, 200818 yr Those are not the odds given by The Mirage in Vegas: New England 5-2 Colts 5-1 Dallas 6-1 Green Bay 6-1 San Diego 7-1 Giants 8-1
February 6, 200818 yr Author Those are not the odds given by The Mirage in Vegas: New England 5-2 Colts 5-1 Dallas 6-1 Green Bay 6-1 San Diego 7-1 Giants 8-1 Those look much more reasonable. The ones I got were from USA Today's Danny Sheridan. How does he keep his job if his odd are that far off?
