February 1, 200818 yr I don't see the Lakers going after kidd to many PG's and not enoguh room for him and his Huge salary. I am so happy right now. Way to go Mitch. :thumb: I love it. And, I don't see them going after Kidd...and, I don't think they need to.
February 1, 200818 yr Huge move for LA!! C-Andrew B F-Odam F-Gasol G-Bryant G Fisher This puts the Lakers as the best team in the west IMO. Still not the best team in the west but they are up there depending on if they can mesh!
February 2, 200818 yr This is one a VERY big steal for the Lakers. Gasol, right now, is better than Bynum is, right now. Bynum is going to be great, don't get me wrong. But to add 19 points and 9 rebounds to a team automatically makes them 10 times better, and opens the floor up for Kobe a lot more also. When Bynum comes back just in time to get back in shape and get his game back for the playoffs, they will be dangerous. Not many teams have 2 really good post players, and the best player in the game. GREAT trade. Now I bet Kobe is thanking the Lord he is still in LA.
February 2, 200818 yr Still not the best team in the west but they are up there depending on if they can mesh! They will still be behind Pheonix and Dallas, but just by a little. Dallas is 1A Pheonix is 1B and LA is either 1C or 2
February 2, 200818 yr This trade almost warrants a mark it down statement, but I'll wait to see how they mesh once all are healthy together before making that mistake. This was a great trade for the Lakers. I'm with the others on here in that I don't see them going after Kidd, their lineup is good as it is plus that would add another huge contract and another PG.

And San Antonio will be there in the end to beat them all. :thumb: I love this trade, it is all on Kobe now. The Lakers are starting to become my favorite team in the NBA.
February 2, 200818 yr Kobe will run him out of town in a few years.... all joking aside, huge pick-up for the Lakers
February 2, 200818 yr Getting rid of Kwame Brown probably helped the team in itself... Gasol is a good player too...
February 3, 200818 yr Kobe has to make something happen now, or I will be here waiting if he doesnt. When Bynum comes back, do you really start Bynum, Odom, and Gasol together with Kobe? I dont know if you do. Two post up, back to the basket guys in Bynum and Gasol in the lineup at the same time? I'm not so sure. I think you might see Bynum back to coming off the bench for the remainder of the season when he gets back. Then he is the go to guy against other teams second units when you get him in there with Walton, Turiaf, Farmar, etc.

I see problems with them finding a player for each of them to guard that they can keep up with.
