Louisville Cardinal - Finest basketball cards is one that I remember as being a poor effort.

One year my in-laws gave me a NASCAR road atlas. These are usually cool because they are printed each year with the schedule on them and have info about each track. The one they got me was 2 years old and came from a flea market.

Here's just a funny story from work this week - we did Secret Santa:

A lady I work with bought another lady I work with a gift. That girl that received the gift regifted the gift and gave it to yet another lady I work with. The person that bought the gift, saw it in the new person's hands and asked her where she got that. She discovered that it was a gift from the girl she had given it to the previous day. You can imagine how that went over :thumb:

That's great. Mean thing to do but funny at the same time.

I miss my Granny bad and she was one of a kind. She stayed young till the day she died. One year though when I was 18 she got me some ceramic wind chimes with little football players on it. It was pretty funny but typical for her because she was a blast. We would even pertake in a beverage or two when I got older.

I also remember getting K-Mart Tube Socks with the big stripes around them from somebody when I was in high school. That was pretty funny too.

I think the girl honestly thought that noone would find out. I'm sure she felt like a horse's rear, LOL.

Karma.

When I was about 10 my mother wrapped me a chunk of coal and a pig's tail. She was getting even with me for what I did as a joke on my younger sister the previous Christmas. I gave her an old Barbie doll that had one arm missing and half its hair gone. It was a joke and everyone, including little sis, got a laugh out of it. But the next Christmas mom made me the center of the laughing. Lesson learned!

My best friend gave me a Glen Campbell record when I was 15. I still hate country music.

My sister and Billy Ray were close friends and we lived one street apart. I came home from college for Christmas break and they were sitting in my bedroom floor playing country music on my stereo. I believe they were 8th or 9th graders at the time. I threw a fit and told them I did not allow country music to be played on my stereo.

Perhaps I should have learned to like it. Then the the Duckster could be a country star also.:scared:

Worst gift for me, from mother nature on a Christmas day... my dog died. My brother woke me up from my post-Christmas-breakfast (greatest meal of the year) nap to tell me.

Otherwise I've often gotten plenty of clothes which I didn't care for, but nothing in particular stands out.

I have a friend whose step-son gave her a nose hair trimmer the first Christmas she was married. That was 15 years ago and I dont think she is still over that one.

Growing up as a kid I had this aunt and uncle that where good old tobacco farmers. She would always by the boys flash lights and the girls the big candy canes. Not sure what a 3 year old is suspose to do with a flash light. But by the time I was 6 I figured away to have fun with it.

I'm 8 years old, and I wanted another G.I. Joe. Badly.

My dad said that he was going to give me a Barbie instead.

I see the wrapped present (in the shape of a G.I. Joe box) and I can't wait to open it. :jump:

My dad again says that it's a Barbie; and I'm like, "yeah, right."

I start tearing at the paper, and am HORRIFIED  to see a picture of Barbie on the box.

I throw down the box and run into my bedroom. I never even opened the package.

As it turned out, my dad had put G.I. Joe in a Barbie box...:irked:

And THAT, dear readers, is why I am the way I am....(that, plus the fact that my dad never let me have a BB gun....)

Fruit cake.:irked:
