Jamie-Lynn Spears pregnant at 16

Featured Replies

Just throwin this out there but isn't that illegal? If not what would be?

Probably depends on a few things. Age of consent in the state in which the act occured and whether or not she got pregnant before turning 16. In KY, it wouldn't be illegal if she had already turned 16 when she became pregnant. However, I am not an attorney and Hearsay, LN or A7 could probably provide a better analysis of the situation.

I thought this was a joke but I guess not. What was her mother thinking letting this guy live in their house. This is what she gets....

So many things wrong with this story...

Hmmm....Mom allows this stuff to go on at home and people wonder how Britney turned out to be such a bad parent...I think it's clear that she didn't have much to look up to in that respect and now it appears that cycle will continue with the younger sister.

Lynne Spears's Parenting Book 'Delayed Indefinitely'

Lynne Spears's book about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn has been put on hold, the publisher confirms to PEOPLE.

"The book is delayed indefinitely. It's delayed, not cancelled," says a spokeswoman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles.

Shocking...

Next thing you know she'll be drinking way too much and forgetting to wear her panties just like sis.

Kid's grow up so fast these days.

Sometimes there is really nothing to say. It's pretty bad--my girls like her "Zoey 101" television show on Nick. I guess that will go down the drain.

Mom and pop Spears must be so proud. Quite a respectable little family they've put together there.

The media is glorifying this as well which makes me sick. Young girls out there are going to look at this as something that is OK but they dont realize that Spears has so much money its coming out her ears. This girl wont have to worry about paying rent, feeding the kid or whether or not she will have enough to buy diapers. The majority of teens out there who slip up and get pregnant will have these problems. I heard it on the radio this morning taking my kids to school and immediately turned it off.

Sister like Sister, enough said.

As a parent, Lynn Spears seems to be a near-complete failure.

I could be wrong. But I doubt it.

And she wrote a parenthood book....priceless!!

Good luck to the child she will have...

Not that that isn't a little disturbing, but when he's 39 she'll be 36, and that's not terribly uncommon. That's if you're referring to the age difference of course... you could be referring to how young they are. Yeah, they're young, but again, that's not terribly uncommmon.

But in general, yeah, you'd think she'd learn her sisters' lessons.

And when he was 16 she was 13. It isn't the age difference because your right, there is only 3 years between them. It is the fact that she is 16. There is a huge difference between a 16 year old and 36 year old.

Is there a big difference between a wife that is 60 and her husband that is 70? Not really, what is ten years. But what about a girl who is 10 and a boy who is 20?

Unfortunately this happens hundreds, thousands of times everyday in this country to teens that don't have the financial ability or the emotional maturity to raise a child.

It must suck to be Lynn Spears!

I wold have thought and hoped that she would learn and NOT go down the same path as her piece of trash big sister, guess not .
