No. I think it is the defensive coordinator....

He was seen in the building the other day. I heard the job was offered to him and he would give an answer in a few days. Wonder what that means? If you were interested to apply and go though the process, why wouldn't you then accept the job- unless something can up during the process? Wonder what will happen if he turns the job down do you open it up again and start over? (It was down to two coaches this time). Seems like this happened the last time the job can opened.

I can see it being Dwayne Ellison before it being their Defensive coordinator Dave Campbell. I would hope they would finalize it so the kids could know going into spring practice who their coahc is going to be.

Sounds like Cambell is playing a little coy with Scott. I bet you he is waiting around to see how other places he's going after pan out. I've heard his name for the Southern spot. If I were Scott, I wouldn't appreciate interviewing a guy, then offering him the job that he applied for, just to have him drag his feet on it. That would be somewhat of a red flag to me on his committment. If you don't want a job, don't apply...

I have been told that Cambell will interview at Madison Southern and the pay for that job is much more than $8500.

Anybody that is coaching high school football for the money has other issues. Look, I wouldn't know the guy if I saw him, so I won't judge him. However, I'm just saying if I were someone involved in the hiring process at Scott, soon as he started backpedaling, I'd tell him the classic line, "We've decided to take the program another direction." Think about it guys, it is like a footbal coach going after the school stud b-ball player, and he is indecisive...that's not the kind of kid or coach you want in your program. You need full commitment, not being 2nd choice.
