You are assuming that the two best teams win out in a tournament. That does not always happen.

 

Unless you think George Mason was one of the top 4 teams in the nation in collegiate basketball last year.

 

No I am not assuming anything. High School football is a little different than college basketball, but still, sometimes the better team doesn't win, I realize that.

 

However, what I am saying is, I would be in favor of giving them that chance and seeding the final 8 so that the two best teams at least have the chance of reaching the finals. That beats the heck out of mandating certain teams be on the same side all the time or leaving it to a rotating draw.

 

The major point is that I think it is good for the two best teams to reach the finals. Do you agree with that ?

You would have to do it for all classes and that could cause some major travel problems. You may have a team say Lone Oak going to Bell County in the 3rd round if it was a 1 vs 8 which would cause some major problems.

Don't care how it is all set-up. Set it up so it is impossible for X/T and or Louisville team to make it to the finals but don't come crying when one of the above still finds away to make it.

Why sidestep the question? It wasn't about your personal preference or if it mattered to you. And it isn't about public vs private, haves vs have nots, etc.

 

My question was posed in terms of Ky High School Football as a whole and it is a generic question about no class in particular. Speaking hypothetically under those paramaters...

T been there 8 times won 6

X been there 6 times won 3

Male been there 4 times won 2

I say meet in the finals but the only class where it has ever been set up so that could happen is 4A(old) or 6A (new), in the old 3A often the 2 best teams were in the same district.
