Both of you should just stop now. This guessing who could win against who is just wrong in this thread.

Congrats to both teams on a great year!

Congrats to both teams on a great year!

You're right. I'm just tired of someone trying to convince me that a team (Bell Co.) that beat two teams on their schedule with winning records could win convincingly over a team that defeated not one but two top ten teams on their way to Papa John's.

Robinson is a great Qb but when you have 4-5 guys in your face it is very hard to get a pass off, This kid is the real deal and I hope him the best in college.

Way to go Knights on title #2

Congratulations to LO on one amazing year and a great turnaround in program and hopes that this will continue.

The Flash have impressed lots of people in West Ky this year...Congrats on a GREAT year and picked the wrong team to come out somewhat flat and awe struck! Good luck to Mr. Robinson and the other Flash Seniors! 92 Tds to like 5 INTs is CRAZY no matter what schedule you are playing. I see the Flash only getting better as it is clearly the fastest growing school in McCracken County.

Robinson had NO time to throw and the lack of a running game was brutal...I totally agree about 5 classes.

Also, congrats to Catholic on another great year and championship!

I understand completely.

Well there were alot of Lone Oak fans on these boards thinking they had a chance to beat Lexington Catholic or at least be in the game, but that didn't happen either.

Was that hit Winston Guy laid on #24 of LO not brutal, they showed the replay on the jumbo tron like 3 times!!

Hickman took several hard shots throughout the playoffs yet continued to get right back up and kept ticking. After battling and defeating cancer, you can understand where his tough mentality comes from.

Well put! This thread is for discussion of the game.

A few of you in this thread need to re-read our rules page!

That's okay. Make a special division for all the teams who choose to play the toughest competition.

You mean the "RockPride Super Division" I am SOLD.

Oh yea, he hopped right back up!

Do you get royalties?

Back to the game, LC imo was better in every phase of the game tonight. The defense imo is the best defense to ever play at LC. They gave up an average of 6.6 points in the playoffs. That is amazing if you think about it. The game plan tonight was bring the house every play, and thats what we did. Winston Guy is an absolute beast. Im pretty sure he ended his night with 3.5-4 sacks. I hate to say it, but the defense was the backbone of LC all year. Now to the offense. The offense played very well tonight. Shane Israel was like he always is. I think he is one of the most underrated running backs. He has some offers, but deserves alot more. The only reason he is not being heavily recruited is because of his size, which is crazy. He had nearly 200 yards and 4 Td's despite sitting out the 4th quarter. He ended up being the games MVP which he earned. To both sides of the ball, I believe the game was won in the trenches. The defensive line gave Robinson no time to even check his recievers. The o-line played great as well which really opened up the running game. All in all great game for LC. Lone Oak should keep their heads up because they have nothing to be ashamed about. They had a great season. Anyways im glad we made it here and im glad we are now state champs. Its been fun playing with everyone.

Does Bell have 100+ on their roster? Do they have the athletes to cover Lone Oak's receivers like Catholic did? It really doesn't matter at this point but the Purple Flash is no lower than the third best team in Class 4A, no matter how bad they looked today. Today's game was simply won at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. The Knights go two or three deep at all of those positions and Lone Oak's boys were going both ways and may have two reserves that gave the starters brief breathers.

No! And yes to your questions! LO had a great season but showed they did not belong on the field with LC.

IMO Guy should be the Mr. Football hands down.

CovCath and Highlands aren't really 5A schools. They are playing up. Pretty soon no one will be playing in their true class.

Don't want to jack this thread, but you are so completely wrong in this statement. Playing up is limited to those circumstances where a team is geographically isolated. There were a limited number permitted this year and I'm sure that will be the case in the future.

To the thread, congrats to both teams. I'm sure the Lone Oaks fans and players are terribly disappointed, but they really had a great season. Congrats to Lex Cath. Very nice squad that impressed me when we played them in the reg season.
