Catlett out at Ballard...

Recommended Posts

We should all wait and see what the X-Tigers do to the Rocks this weekend. Depending on the results, Coach Glasier may be the top candidate for the opening at Ballard, we are all getting tired of the Rocks adding the Hardware and the Tigers making excuses, I mean a bad spot, A rain storm, those are lousy excuses, the Tiger Teams of late have not been ready to play in the big game, let's all hope that he has the ship righted this year.

Redman was a "lock" to get the Fern Creek job two or three years ago, and the Central job last year.

Neither happened.

After talking to one of Bobby's current assistants, if he goes to Ballard I would be quite surprised.

This is different. There are no more Mike Bush or Doug Beaumont's at Male. They lose Heyman and Justin Green can't do it all by himself next season. I would say at best even with Redman next year seven wins tops.

In answer to the question above, Danny Herby was still coaching at Ballard until this news broke. Not sure if he had the title of offensive coordinator or not, since Catlett made most of the play calls, but he was the top offensive coach. He's a good person and a smart coach as well.

No idea whether coach Redman would be interested in the job, but if he takes the job, you can bet he will be able to get a significant number of out of district players into the school.

I went to Morehead with Danny and ran into him while I was in Oldham Co. He's a good guy!

While you all are throwing Red out there I thought I would let you know his son Chris will probably be starting the Monday Night Football game at QB for the Falcons vs the Saints. I know it's off topic but thought I'd sure with the KY high school fans.

No one should compare Ballard's success in women's sports especially softball and men's basketball without considereing the type of individuals they are producing. Men's basketball has produced failure after failure post Ballard. Coach Jones in softball has a awesome program on and off the field.

Just track the basketball players lives after they were used/played at Ballard.

Mark Catlett is a fine person failed by a very poorly managed school and athletic department.
