Legion decides to transfer from Kentucky

Featured Replies

I guess I agree but I definitely could not blame him if he does that to Carter & Williams.

I think that's what he's doing with those two. I think he got here and realized how bad some of the guys Tubby recruited were and wants them gone so he can actually build a winner...

Hearing that some players are actually happy he has moved on...some have described his mother as crazy.

In addition, some parents had their seat moved as to get away from her at games.

Lost in all this is the fact that Jasper practiced for the first time today with limited contact and had no swelling.

Jasper is merely average though, Legion had a great shot at being something special...BCG must've done something to tick him off, and it is not doing the University any good right now.

I can honestly see Legion's mother being the reason he left. But you're right, to run off an All-American in your first 6 games doesn't look great

Jasper could make a big impact on this team, we REALLY need a point guard.

A slow average ball handling point guard?

He is still a better PG than Bradley or Porter.

Not doing the Univesity any good?

Anyone who didn't think that Gillispie had a rebuilding job on his hands when he arrived is in never-neverland.

Throw in injuries to Jasper and Meeks, and you are hurting.

Jasper is average but is a type of kid that can flourish in the BCG system. Jasper although limited scoring is the best point guard on the team and BCG has rved about him and said he has been the biggest loss this year.

Jasper played really really well in Maui last year and then lost confidence and then played the last half of the season with a bum knee.

He brings some size, good defender and can rebound...all ingredients that this team is missing.

Not a savior by any means but an upgrade.

Also keep in mind that BCG didn't really have time to build up a recruiting relationship with Legion. He reneged on Michigan and BCG swooped in quickly after Legion made a quick visit to UK. Things like a crazy momma would have been discovered during a normal recruitment of the player.

He showed flashes of brilliance in the first couple of games last season. I think with some hard work he could be really solid at the point. Which LABS just said lol

A slow average ball handling point guard?

:rolleyes:Yea, I guess you can say that since you have only seen him play as a FRESHMAN, with TWO very individual ball- handlers on his team...You cannot really get a good judgment on him yet...

That would be a tough loss if Carter leaves.

Isn't Carter the big slug from Scott County?? Good riddance--too slow and not physical enough for big time inside play!!
