I don't believe they are one of the top 2 teams in the country, and that is what the title game is suppose to be about. But I also don't believe OSU is one of the top 2 teams either, but they are getting their shot at it...This is why we need a playoff system, because Hawaii should atleast get a shot at winning a National Title. I mean they went out and won all their games, and have lost to nobody. So why should we be the ones to say that we just DONT THINK that you are good enough. I mean none of us really know for sure if they are or not...I mean I know heard the OSU people say that well they can't help that their conference has been weak the last two years, and well Hawaii can't help that their conference is weak either then. The only difference is unlike OSU, Hawaii didn't even lose a game. Its just stuff like this, that just shows how there really needs to be a playoff. I mean yeah Hawaii most likely wouldn't win it, but they should be given an opportunity too...

If your a OSU fan of course they do, thats the only team in the top 12 they could beat.

 

If your using the logic that OSU deserves a shot in the title game, then yes, Hawaii deserves to be in there, as well.

I say they deserve it over any SEC team after all they won all of their games and IO for one would love to see the Buckeyes match up with them.

No, they don't even belong in a BCS game. They deserve it according to the current rules but after watching them the last 2 or 3 games they are just not that good of a team. Brennan is very good and he has a great rapport with his receivers. However, a 4-9 Washington team that is totally one-dimensional very easily could have beaten them on their home field. They simply don't have the type of defensive players to stop a decent offensive attack. If they played in one of the BCS conferences they'd finish around 6-6. They're different than last year's Boise State team or the Alex Smith Utah team. Those were legitimately good teams. Hawaii is barely above average--and wouldn't be that without Brennan. They look better than they are because going into last week they had the worst strength of schedule in the country.

Now I am a big Ohio State fan and I do like Hawaii too but they didn't play a team like Illinois, Michigan, or Wisconsin. Hawaii did beat a very good Boise State team and a pretty solid Washington team.

 

Are you daft? The Huskies finished the season 4-9. That's four wins and nine losses. Four and freaking nine, for crying out loud! By what logic is that a solid football team, sir?

As for the question, I think it would be great. They are the only team to go 12-0 this year. Maybe not against all that great of a schedule but they didn't lose a single game. I hope if they don't go to the NC then they get a good BCS bowl.

 

Washington finished 4-9 and had zero passing game, they are far from a solid team. As for Hawaii playing not that great a schedule, coming into the Boise State game it was the WORST schedule in the country in the computer rankings.

I think they've earned a bowl game, but not the title game. If you're a team like Hawai'i you've got a lot of proving to do to get in the title game as far as playing tough teams. They clearly didn't do that.

That's my thoughts pretty much. I don't think Hawaii or OSU are close to being the top 2 teams in the country but I do think with this crazy season there are about 15 or more teams that could all win in a one game shot. If you are going to make the argument that OSU belongs then I think you have to make the arguement that Hawaii should be right there with them. I don't think either belong myself but it is what it is.

Okl and USC might be playing the best football of anybody right now and I don't think either of them will get in. LSU has the most talent but is very banged up! Florida is better than a lot that will be mentioned and oh yeh Gerorgia is playing pretty tough too! They are physical!
