Ok…you talked me into it. Fort Campbell is going to win (pull the upset) because:

 

1. The defense is going to play outstanding like they have for the past twelve weeks.

 

2. They will not turn the ball over and take advantage of NCCs turnovers

 

3. The offense will put up at a minimum 3-4 TDs

 

4. The want it more….

We understand perfectly. You all desperately would like to stop being the poor relations of the football teams across the river from you, and so you rally around one another so that you can give one another a group hug. Plus, you put noodles in your chili.

 

I'll go with the sons of the 101st Airborne, who have learned from their fathers to let their actions talk, rather than what area of the region they are from.

 

It's just nice to root for other programs from your area where you may have friends that went there, or have kids and they have friends that go there, or they go to your church. Northern Kentucky is in no way related to Cincinnati, nor do we have an inferior complex. You must lose to be inferior. New Cath has disproven that all by themselves this past 3 years. Our area in these 3 small counties has such a concentrated number of people in it and lots of us go to the same stores etc. so its similar to people in the west, east south or Lex, or Louisville. I am entitled to like who I want and root for who I want. I didn't realize the "you wouldn't understand" thing was going to put so many people over the edge. Guess that's a good thing-upped the participation on the thread. NCC has several proven good players, D-1 caliber, who knows. All I know is that they can play well as a team and win, even if they are ugly ones, they still keep winning.

 

P.S. Hearsay- You forgot the cheese. What's a 3-way without the cheese? Tell me you've never had Cincinnati-style chili before. I bet you have. What else are we supposed to put on our noodles? Pizza Sauce? Tell you what if you really want a treat to to Dixie Chili in Newport, on their cheese coneys you can get a pickle on it. They are amazing!

How does this NCC team compare with the past two state title teams?

 

2005 was speed on offense and defense and fairly deep.

 

2006 was size on the lines and at QB.

 

2007 is speed and depth and special teams. Maybe faster on offense than 2005, not as big as 2006.

I believe that that execution seperated 2005 from the rest. Once they made it to the playoffs they did not make a bad play. That may be a little bit of an exaggeration, but they blew past everybody. 2006, definitely size and sheer determination. 2007 has the gifts to be up there with 2005, but they just don't execute on offense. I really think that this years D is the best overall.

Don't think you should be introducing the foreigners to The Gator. They're not ready for that. Baby steps...

I definately think the 05 version was much stronger than the 06 team. I'd say the 07 team is somewhere in the middle..
