You think!!!! And it seemed like they knew what exactly we were running every play. I'm serious, they were extremely good but no Highlands team has ever been dominated by such a equal opponent than they were that night!!!

 

That was the worst HHS game I have ever been to in my life..I drove all that way with my son and left at half time...I don't even think I had the radio on the whole way home...:mad::mad:

Yeah, that was similar to 2000, when we beat Rock 41-9.

 

Yes, it was a pleasure to host such a talented team (maybe the best KY has ever had) that year. Rock fans around 7,000 that turned out that night still talk about that game even though it wasn't close for the last 2 1/2 quarters. There was just no getting to Gino that year and the fact that their defense had some major D-1 studs on it certaintly helped.

I finally remembered that I took a pictue with my phone. This is Tim Estes and Kevin Bandura calling the game from our perch in the school.

WOW...maybe with all the renovations, they could put in a panoramic bay window and have a full time "perch" for communications? But then again, donations would be needed and I'm tapped out! (as usual!)

I overheard some LC parents that actually believed LC was moving the ball and shutting down the Birds 1st team in the 2nd half. Could anyone that watched the 1st half, seriously believe that? Talk about your rose colored glasses.

 

I saw the game. IMO it was "no contest". Highlands was clearly a much superior team on that night. The Pats only successes came after the issue was decided and against the Birds' backups.

Thanks for your opinion but every single person who saw the game knows that it was total domination by the Birds. In the heat of the game, the die hard LC fans who live and die with every play probably got caught up in the moment and got carried away by the three scores that came against Highlands' reserves.

I totally agree with your assessment of the LC fans reaction. And why not see it that way if you are a Pat fan? They had a terrific season led by some outstanding seniors. Congrats!

The amazing thing was how bad Highlands dominated the game. Especially after seeing LC dominate some "local" teams earlier this year, even hanging a zero on some teams in central KY.
