Clay Cecil is an amazing athlete. Some D1 school could really help themselves by adding a kid like that to their roster. He can play. He could be outstanding at Safety or CB or .........

 

Not according to the Northern Ky. Coaches. He wasn't chosen anywhere on the first or second teams. What a joke that is! Since HHS doesn't pass that much, he should be considered a running back and there aren't too many better than him at that position. Absolutely amazing!!!!

The radio comments were made by a former Head Coach at Lincloln County. His attempt to put a positive spin on the second half was misplaced.

 

Coach French understood that the second half traction was against the "twos". I will post his interview later but I just drove back to Chicago from the game and I am gonig to bed soon.

 

Finally, the Birds have a great team. Every kid that saw action is well-coached and executes perfectly. Admittedly having not seen Bowling Green this season, I can't imagine them stopping this machine.

And the sad thing is the guy doesn't know what in the heck he's talking about when he complains.

 

Now to the game. Birds looked awesome. Near flawless execution. The second and third teamers didn't execute very well in the second half, but hey, its that kind of experience this year that will make them that much better this year. Great game Birds. No need for the "stay focused" speech in this post. Lets go get it!

 

Pats, while the loss was tough, you had a great season and from what I've read FAR exceeded a lot of folks expectations of you. Great job boys and great job Coach French and assistants. Good luck to the seniors. Keep your heads up and be proud of your accomplishments. I hope each and every one of you will strongly consider going to college. If you want to provide a decent life for yourself and your future family, a college education is almost a necessity any more. As for the Pats returning next year, work hard and let the loss of this game burn in your bellies for a while to encourage you to work hard this offseason. Coach French has a good thing going there, follow him and you'll achieve your goals.

 

Finally to the Pats fans, from what I observed you guys are a class act and love your football team. I'm sure you'll stick with them and be following and supporting them next year. Hope each of you made it home safely. Mr. N, sorry we did not have an opportunity to meet. Hope to do so in the future.
