Everything now is so politically correct that they have to change EVERYTHING!

Some people also refuse to say Merry Christmas for fear of offending someone. Instead they usually say Happy Holidays.

I see no big deal typing xmas, I would bet that the vast majority do it for the convenience and not to take Christ out. Besides, spelling it differently doesn't change the meaning so I don't see why people would do that to begin with even if they don't celebrate Christmas.

 

When I'm around family and people I know I always use Merry Christmas but when I'm working with the general public I always say Happy Holidays because everyone obviously doesn't celebrate Christmas and again I don't see the problem with that either.

We will be decorating our tribute to the fertility god this weekend.

 

 

Well I am preparing for the celebration of the birth of Mithra myself. Then I may drag in a yule log and stay indoors to make sure Odin doesn't see me as he passes through the night sky.

While I'm at it I may well end up celebrating Saturnalia too.

I’m sure glad Christ didn’t find it tedious or inconvenient to hang naked on the cross until his death, after being beaten and mocked.

After all this it seams like a small thing just spelling out CHRIST.

As for others not celebrating CHRISTmas why would a believer in Christ not want to remind them He is the reason for them receiving a day off work.

It bother me when people put a manger scene in their yard and right next to it put Santa or Snowmen , at least put them far apart or choose one for outside. Lights any color ar fabulas. Relegion is why we have Christmas not all the hooplau with all the gifts.

Every since my brother was about two years old, my parents wanted to teach him about the true meaning of Christmas. Rob is now 17, 18 in Dec., and they have kept up the tradition.....what happens is after the Christmas dinner, they sing happy birthday to Jesus and cut the birthday cake they made for him. If someone says happy holidays to my brother, he goes nuts. He explains, yes, right there in a very busy line, why there is a Christmas and how disrespectful it is to Jesus to say happy holidays. So, if you all are ever in Washington State and are standing in line waiting for hours to purchase that special Christmas gift for that special someone, and a young man is letting someone know why saying happy holidays is not the right thing to do, please don't get too upset!! LOL
