Run To State Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I’m getting so sick and tired of garbage LIKE THIS. And this. More on the "Green" supitidy. Why can’t these fools just shut up and leave our traditions ALONE? Please, tell me why this kind of crap is acceptable anywhere? Thoughts?
bigblueinsanity Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 These things are crazy, someone has way to much free time.
LRCW Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I don't pay any attention to that garbage. I tell yo what irritates me is when people take Christ out of Christmas. Without Christ, there is no Christmas.

Without Christ, there is no Christmas. I hope you're not talking about the use of Xmas, are you? Because that came about from the Greek word for Christ. I always find it funny when people get all uptight about the abbreviation.

Hearsay Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 We will be decorating our tribute to the fertility god this weekend.
True blue (and gold) Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 In my room at school, we put up a Chemis-Tree. Of course, we will leave it up the rest of the school year and decorate it for Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter and Graduation.

I always find it funny when people get all uptight about the abbreviation. That is exactly what I'm talking about. I don't speak Greek, and I can assure you that the majority of people that use Xmas don't do it because of that, . Some people also refuse to say Merry Christmas for fear of offending someone. Instead they usually say Happy Holidays.
owsleyking Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 And in Australia,Santa can no longer say HO HO HO..he must say HA HA HA...can't find the link, but it was in the paper last week...anyone??

And like most abbreviations that came into being long, long ago, people rarely know why they use it, other than the fact that Christmas is a tedious word to spell out.

Why can’t these fools just shut up and leave our traditions ALONE? Please, tell me why this kind of crap is acceptable anywhere? Thoughts? Both of the above are stupid. I think the United States needs to get over "political correctness" and remember the morals and constitution we were founded on. Which definitely included God!!!!

C'mon now. You and I both know spelling out Christmas isn't that big of a task.
Birdsfan Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone in this thread a very happy winter solstice festival celebration.
