I don't doubt that but can you confirm or deny any recent interest on Coach Yeagle's part to return to Lloyd as the head football coach?

If I were Lloyd I would just go for a completely different staff.

 

No offense to anyone currently in the program, but sometimes it is best for all to just move in a different direction. Seems things have been in a state of confusion for some time now there.

Roy won district coach of the year this year.

I had recently heard that about Coach Yeagle and have not heard any outcome to this rumor. I think Coach Yealge is a tremendous coach and person whom has had some health issue's and if this is behind him and he can prove to Erlanger/Elsmere School's I will let them decide. I just know the progam after the past and what happened this year need's a good kick start and leader. Again this is only a rumor and I can not confirm this. JD

Hearsay, Mac was never the head coach at SK but he was on the staff for the Neers under Roy Lucas as well.

Seriously, why go down that road again, it's ended the same the last what, 2-3 times?

In my experience there is no one person or committee that makes the call.

 

From what I have seen from this schools system I would think the Super swings a big stick.

Would love to see Yeagle return to coaching, but , I think he would be better served staying away for a bit longer. Time will not pass him by, a coaching job is his for the taking, anytime he pleases! I am sure he would be welcome as an advisor in the mean time.

Would the fan's in Erlanger be happy if Lucas came back? I think Lloyd should look at injecting some new blood into thier program. If Lucas had more success I would understand it, but I just think it's time to look else where for some new ideas and infuse the program.

Lucas to stay as Lloyd coach

Lloyd football players, in the words of The Who, "meet your new boss - same as the old boss."

 

Roy Lucas Jr., the Juggernauts coach for seven years before becoming the offensive coordinator and eventually the interim head coach this season, has decided to remain the head coach next season.

 

"We're thrilled," said Lloyd athletic director Chad Molley. "You can't say enough good things about Roy. Everybody here, from the staff to the administration to the board office, knows that the program is in good hands with Roy."

 

 

 

 

Lucas posted a 46-36 record in his first stint as head coach, including a trip to the 2003 state semifinals. At the time of his resignation, Molley said he wanted Lucas to remain the head coach. The school then hired Mike Yeagle and Lucas became an assistant. But Yeagle coached only one game for the Juggernauts, and Lucas stepped in to lead the Juggernauts to a 3-8 record and a first-round playoff loss.

 

"I guess I just had a change of heart," Lucas said. "When I went back into the position - somebody had to do it - I realized how much I liked the job and how much I like our kids. They fought through a lot and they were extremely dedicated and hard-working. I realized how much I liked where I was. And I got a lot of encouragement at the end of the season from a lot of people. People really wanted me to stay."

 

Lloyd will graduate 10 starters from this year's team - only three on offense. The Juggernauts should be led by a strong senior class in 2008, including receiver Roger Herthel, one of the top offensive returners in Northern Kentucky.

 

"I think it's going to be exciting," Lucas said. "We've got hard-working kids. And when you have kids that have some talent to go along with that, then you've got something. We've got some kids that have the ability to do something special."
