I think about 26 years ago if you won a state championship you were awarded a Kentucky Colonel certificate as well. That was a pretty neat thing. I wonder if they still do that?

That would only amount to three for NKY.

Had teams not been able to play up, which I don't mind a bit by the way, it could have potentially been worse as far as representation in the final game goes.

 

1A Beechwood

2A NCC

3A Highlands (I think this where they are supposed to be according to their numbers.)

4A CCH

5A Dixie

6A - nobody but BC or Ryle might get an appearance if they don't have to earn it by facing T or X.

Somewhat surprised that NKY did not win all three championships but I do think most voters that picked 2/3 were guessing that Beechwood would be the lone loser?

That's because of all the unfair advantages that the rural county schools have in boys basketball.
