I will call the KHSAA on Monday and ask them to cancel the State Finals. That way they can send all 6 titles to NKY. I know there are not enough NKY teams to capture all 6, but since NKY discovered football in this state I guess we owe it to NKY to just hand over the trophies.

Who in 1A is going to challenge Beechwood for another title? I think the only team that could is wearing blue and gold and is now in 2A.

W/this said, I will say Beechwood will be the luckiest team in the state. Since 1990 thru 2006, Beechwood is 202-33, I will go w/them to beat Frankfort and go on to win another title, along w/HHS and NCC.

I know that no one has mentioned them, but what about Harrison County HS? They are close enough to almost be considered NKY. I think that if they won, that would just be one more feather in the cap of the northern counties of KY. I love the comment about sending all the trophies to NKY and canceling the games. I will go to the state games regardless of who plays. If HHS is in it, that is better, but I will still go and root for any and all other NKY teams, including Harrison CO.

A great overall record for many years proves that a team can win, and shows their tradition of winning. They(Beechwood) had an impecable post-season record until NCC stepped up and stole the show. Now, with NCC in 2A, Beechwood is back in the spotlight and will probably be for awhile again.

75 miles south of Cincinnati could be considered NKY to someone in Corbin. Man, its nice that all these teams in NKY are that good. haha

SuperB, don't fool yourself. That record has alot to do w/everything. Beechwood knows how to win and especially this time of yr. I don't know if Frankfort will be intimidated or not but I guarantee one thing, Beechwood will show up and be ready to play. They are in very familiar territory being in the semi's and knowing where another win will take them.

 

75 miles South is far enough away for me to not consider them as part of NKY, once you get past Walton you are out of NKY, IMO.

 

All the talk about NCC moving up to 2A, don't have the exact numbers but I think BHS is like 23-8 against NCC since 1991 so what is everyone talking about.
