November 11, 200718 yr All I can say is "the best defense in the country" sure looked good today. I think Juice Williams made the all-america 1st team today. (okay just joking, they did make him look like a star though) I do hate OSU. It's nothing more than the fact that they are like Notre Dame, their usually ranked higher than they should be. In all honesty, everyone knows they weren't the best team in the country. I also hate that every year SOME fans claim that they are some great team, and no one could beat them. LSU, ORegon, and Oklahoma would all have their way with them as would UF if Tebow was healthy, and Kansas would probably take them. I'm not jealous of their success, plenty of other programs have just as much or much success and prestige than them that I don't hate. Tressell is one of the best coaches in the country, and they always have a good team, but shouldn't be a top 3 team year in year out, because no team is. We may be seeing a changing of the guard in the Big 10 as early as next year. Illinois would have to be considered a front runner for the conference title next year along with OSU. They recruit athletes, Juice is just a sophomore, Mendelhall a junior, and Benne is a freshman and an absolute freak. As for OSU fans hating on UK fans...we are terrible to mediocre almost every year. So naturally in the years we do good we do tend to get excited. It's hard to build a top tier program in the SEC, so we just have to take the good years with the bad. But, OSU losing doesn't make us feel any better about our team. I agree with most of the post I have read on here. I wanted them to lose because they were a fraud, and didn't deserve to be in the National Title. Oregon and LSU, and Oklahoma are all better.

Unless you're suggesting the Big 10 has backslid so far as to make the Ohio St.-Michigan game little more than an isolated regional tussle, no bigger than Georgetown-Cumberland, that it has completely disappeared from the radar. November 11, 200718 yr You beat me to it about the spread option. ILL ran it to perfection. I am really surprised more coaches in the Big Ten don't look at that offense. Personally I love it. Several MAC teams run it and do so very well. Most teams in the Big 10 don't have enough speed to run it effectively against major college competition. It works in the MAC against other MAC teams. Illinois is not an all around better team than OSU but they were faster and the spread is deadly when you have better team speed than your opponent.

You can now start throwing your jabs, and that's cool, but no one wants tosu (that's right) in the championship.....one loss or not, your boys are out....just like 95% of the teams in the NCAA, regardless of how "nice" the finish ends up.

They are similar in size and both have good pocket poise. Boeckman has the better arm. Brohm has been playing the last 3 years, this is Boeckmans first year of action he has done DARN well. I look forward to seeing what he brings to the table next year.

You're right....excluding about 1-2 people on Bluegrasspreps.com I hear Boeckman's name with the best in the nation. My head must be in the sand. Sorry :thumb:..... Brian has absolutely shown himself to be the #1 pro-prospect in the land, that can now go without debate.
