There is only one team that can beat Beechwood this week.

 

Bellevue's defense will look like a pound of swiss cheese! The only team that stopped Dayton was Dayton! And this week will be no different!! Beechwood might as well have a bye into the third round.

You are absolutely 100% correct. But may I also add, what is wrong with having your players (and your FAN base) believing in what appears to be impossible? According to a few of the exceptional thinkers on here, the Bellevue boys needn't even show up. "Aw shucks boys, just show up and take your beat down and we'll all say ya done a good job." Sorry but the kids and fans don't think that way and never should they. Believeing is what got Dayton to their outstanding record, and believing is what gor Gardner-Webb past the wildcats. Sure it may seem improbable, but who are you folks to tell fans and players alike they have no shot? I think we'll show up and play the game for ourselves. Win or lose Friday night, the Bellevue Tigers have proven their metal.

 

I will agree w/you 100% but think about what you are saying here, you are contradicting yourself basically. You are upset w/the Beechwood people for saying that Bellevue don't have a shot and on the other hand saying what is wrong w/Bellevue believing they can win. Well, what is the difference for the Beechwood fans to think that Bellevue don't have a chance. It is called an opinion, which obviously everyone has.

 

What is "proven their metal" mean?

 

Per Grizzly, I am afraid that Bellevue will get a first hand look at a very healthy, soft hitting Beechwood team on Friday.

I think if bellevue comes out playing all four quarters this one will be a close one and I can see the black and gold tigers takin this one in a close one

I mean, say Beechwood was playing Cincinnati St. X, some Beechwood fans would beleive Beechwood could win the game (no matter what anyone says on here some would believe). No one in the state thought Bellevue could beat Beechwood two years ago so it's the same situation hear, and now that were in the playoffs Bellevue's seniors know the next game could be their very last so bet they leave everyone they have to give and it WILL be a close game..

Every PLAYER and every FAN should believe in THEIR team. That's what SPIRIT is about. There is going to be two teams playing each other Friday night, therefore, there SHOULD be two teams of players and two cities of fan base each rooting and BELIEVING in their teams. NOT bashing the other, just rooting THEIR OWN ON.

You are kind of right in your post. In that game 2 years ago no one really thought Bellevue would win. However that Bellevue team was 10 times better than this Bellevue team. And that Beechwood team was 10 times worst than this Beechwood team. That Beechwood team that year was just not a normal Beechwood team, and it showed when they got drilled in the playoffs by LCA....

 

I know I sure hope that this ends up being a great exciting game, but I just don't see it...
