I would say start a new thread so this doesn't get too off-topic and I would need a specific definition. I have no problem with turning the machines off. Is that considered euthanasia?

Intead of addressing the issue, we talk about how bad the Christians are. Somewhere in this debate I have lost the reasoning behind this point. Isn't the title of THIS thread "my gripe with the Pro-Life Community?" The issue is NOT abortion. The issue/debate is with the hardliners.

November 7, 200718 yr Euthanasia is a tough one for me. I mean, who was playing God? The people who wanted to remove Terri Schiavo's feeding tube, or the doctor who put her on life support to begin with?:confused: I think the pro-life issue is full of gray areas like euthanasia, capital punishment, stem-cell research, fertility treatments, etc.

Many bad decisions are made when one is irrational and illogical - just like the girl who has an abortion because of the real or perceived disapproval from her fellow sinners. Agree, but you throw the hypocrite under the bus as the source for the decision to abort in the first place. There's no doubt that many despise the hypocrisy in the church, and there are many who may not attend because of it, however, I can't see the correlation between that and ultimately terminating a fetus. My guess is that a large # if not a majority of women who have abortions seldom darken the church doors. If that's true, I highly doubt that they are worried if Sister Gladys is looking down her nose at her.

For the record, I know more bad people that attend church than I can shake a stick at; "darken(ing) the church doors" doesn't make you any better a person.

By direct correlation you are meaning that a cause of the abortions is not going to church. He did not say that. Simply said that he would guess that a person who would choose an abortion probably is not normally attending church on Sunday morning. Just like a person who goes out and gets drunk and beats his wife is not normally going to be going to church on Sunday morning. Yep, sometimes they are, but Spin indicated that mostly they would not be. And yeah, they sit down in the pews after beating their wife and probably receive disapproving looks. I guess that is bad of us. and we should not say anything disapproving of them in beating their wives cause that whole casting stone issue.

I never said nor Spindoc said anything like what you are posting and insinuating that I am posting. There are a lot of people who attend church every Sunday that if the Rapture occurred RIGHT NOW, would be left behind. I just pray that I am not one of them. I am sorry, that is me being a judgemental Christian again and posting that some going to church are not really Christians. Of course, you weren't being a judgemental Christian by doing that, were you?
