That being said, my gripe with the PL movement is as follows: It seems that all PL'rs care so much about the baby while its inside the womb. Yet as soon as its born, and quite possibly goes into foster care and becomes a ward of the state, all the people that defended that childs life seem to dissapear.

 

It is odd that the same people that want these babies to be born, dont want to fork over the tax dollars in social welfare programs, so they can have a fighting chance at a successful life.

You're painting with an awfully broad brush. We were foster parents and found that the vast majority of foster parents were Christian church goers.

I know that the foster system sometimes produces excellent conditions for children. Yet we studied in Sociology that more and more people are taking in foster children they cannot provide for, just so they can recieve more government money. Which most of the time in those situations, does not go to the children.

So it is acceptable to you that over 3500 babies EVERY DAY, let me repeat that, over 3 thousand 5 hundred babies, every day are killed, while we complete the plumbing in the house?

 

Just to point out in ONE DAY a comparable number of babies are killed than Americans who have been killed in Iraq over the past years of the war.

 

And yet, I don't see any Democrats horrified about that.
