October 16, 200718 yr I can remember as a kid that an occasional two hand touch football would break out behind one endzone. But I also remember that I had a parent at the game also. When the world seemed safer parents were always with their kid. Now in this day and time where kids are being stalked by predators, Parents don't mind to drop off their kids at a football game or Mall and let them walk around completely unsupervised. I would never drop off my kids I don't care how embarrassed they may get with me there around their friends. They are my responsibility not the schools during an after school event or even Mall personnel. I dont think that a touch game behind the endzone is the same as letting a child run around wild through the bleachers, being loud and disturbing everyone. As long as the kids in the touch game arent bothering anyone, I think its great. I love to see kids playing touch fb instead off sitting in front of a video game screen. I have talked about this with friends before and its interesting that, most of the time, schools that have the kids playing touch are schools with solid football programs. It seems that football is emphasized at home and it carries over to the kids. I think its a positive thing. However, unruly kids at a game can be very aggravating. I always wondered how parents can sit and watch their kids running around driving everyone nuts. It is just a reflection of them.

October 17, 200718 yr I did make an effort and found the guilty parent. However, the guilty party was more interested in talking about running up the score on LexCath as a payback for the playoff game a couple of years ago than he was about his stranded son. Typical....the parent is more interested in something else than their own child. I actually feel really sorry for that kid.
