This year UK raised ticket prices by $5 a head. Commonwealth Stadium holds 70,000 plus. I dont know alot of math but 70,000 x 5 is 350,000. Take away a 50,000 dollar fine and UK still clears 300,000 over what they would have in years past. I think Mitch Barnhart will be pleased to write such a check.:D

EXACTLY! It is pocket change. But I don't think that fans should rush the field if we beat Florida. We just beat the #1 team in the country, and it doesn't get any better than that!

Yeah everyone should act like they have been there now.

Like my coach use to say......"Act like youve been there before"

I dont see what the schools can really do. Should they use 50 foot walls or even barbed wire?

Again, The main reason for these rules are safety, No one ever thought a tragedy like The Who concert in Cincy would happen either. One of these days this kind of act their will be serious injuries and possibly ever death in the stampede.

You can't do this at pro games, they can control it. As I said before, tell students know that if they rush the field, they will be expelled from school, and if they are not a student the fine is a lot higher and they are also banned from any UK events for life. That wills top them.

I'am in, pass me the collection bucket!

I couldn't be in more agreement. We have beaten the number one team in the nation. Now lets start acting like we expect to win.

I have mixed feelings on this. I mean, I agree with what you say but there are some Volkswagen sized gorillas on this program's back and they're called Florida and Tennessee...

Ill give you that. This one is going to be tough to get off this weekend.:D

I will put in my 2 cents worth. :D

HAHA, how much will the fine from the SEC be now??? And better yet, does anyone care?!?!?!?!?!

I'm happy about the win, but not quite happy enough to donate anymore than the price of my ticket to the next game.

Having seen my son's tuition increase about 60% over the last 4 years, I'm sure there's enough money to pay. They'll have to pry any donation from my cold, dead hand

The athletic department is separate financially from the University. They have nothing to do with your child's tuition and the money you spend on your tickets does not go to the University. Not a popular answer, but its the truth. That $50,000 is all paid by UKAA. There isnt a dime coming out of the University's pocket as I understand it.

They should let the fans rush the field unobstructed. And THEN they should bring out the heavy artillery and surround the fans on the field and charge them to get out.

I agree, UK is ranked higher it's not the upset of past years.. Once is good, twice is great, three times is just to much.
