Highlands pitchers also include Oliver Head and i believe there 1B/ DH. Big kid, cant think of the name though. I agree with your statement of Highlands will need more than one pitcher to win region. If Highlands can save Towles for a big game in the region they stand a chance of getting to the finals. They will need someone to step up on the mound to get them a W against average teams.

 

That would be Ben Watson. 6'-4" Lefty who is currently playing basketball for the Birds. He could be a weapon come mid-April.

That's a shame because he's a really good 3rd baseman, and a good bat, but at a school like Ryle, you could use him just as a pitcher.

I agree Coop on all statements... he is a nice kid that has a opportunity to be a big factor this year if he continues with the strides he has made the last couple of seasons.

The Cats players consist of players from several former AABC, Division 1, and Greater Cincinnati Ciy Championship teams. These boys know the game and they can play it. Their pitching staff will be one of the top 3 teams in the 9th Region. Good luck to all the teams.

I dont know where you are coming from with this? Newport maybe won 6 or 7 games last year and those were against teams that wasnt that good. and their players that you think were good played for knothole teams, and maybe 1 or 2 kids played for AABC. but in all honesty i think that bellevue could do something this year. Hunter Jones is the real deal, but he isnt the whole team. If key people break out for them, then they have a shot but they have to have pitching if they are going to do anything

For all the people who think Beechwood doesn't have any experience... that whole lineup started last year at some spot. They lost one Senior who was there right fielder and he switched with Stephen Hadden. It Should be fun to watch what a great 1A team can do. Watch they will suprise you

As far as I know, Gohs is playing. He can hit the ball a ton and I would think he could help a college team, built perfect for a 3rd/1st baseman. Who says an athlete can't be an athlete and a scholar at the same time. Sorry to Mr Bertke for mispelling his last name. He is a nice player.

That starting rotation looks good, another option is Gohs at 3rd, Larrimore at SS, Slusher at 1st (as i thought he played a lot there last year). They seem to have a good amount of depth in the infield this year and should have about 12 players that could start on any given day.
