Yes and headed to Ohio State to play in the outfield. Pangallo, Enzweiler, Lipscomb all can pitch. Don't expect Wrobleski to pitch but he will hurt you with his bat and speed in center field. Expect to see NCC in the post season fray. They have alot more talent than just who is mentioned.

 

My point is NCC's main problem last year was lack of pitching last year. So who can we expect to step up this year. You will see a lot of hitters when you face Ryle, CCH and Beechwood so you will need a few stoppers.

I like their coach, talked to him a few times and he feels he can generate some interest in the baseball program. The year he had last year will certainly help.

 

This may be a critical year for the HHS baseball program. Their success last year was a huge step in the right direction. Hopefully they can continue moving forward. The athletes are there. They just need to get on the diamond. The coaching staff is without doubt one of the best baseball staffs HHS has had in some time. One of the JV coaches is excited and very enthusiastic. If the kid that is transferring from another school is allowed to play the Bird's stock rises very quickly. Two excellent pitchers can do wonders in a regional tournament.

Yes, you are right on the redundancy. If I would have known the grammar in my post was going to be scrutinized like a thesis statement I would have edited more carefully. A transfer from another school is not automatically allowed to play. I’m sure you were already aware of that.:thumb:

Ryle will start whoever earns it in preseason. They have no pre-conceptions.

I know you're a CCH buff that's why this is addressed to you. Do you remember the game when cov cath palyed boone county when their seniors were all sitting? I would think that's a little sample of what we'll see this year and i think furnish (if he decides to play) was in right and the LaFever kid was in left if i remember correctly. Do you know anything about either of them?

Beechwood just got a transfer from Indiana, i believe he is a sophomore and a pretty good ball player. Somebody told me that he is a switch hitter, that is rare in high school. This could help the tigers out even though they already are returning 8 starters.

Doesn't NCC have a group of jr.'s that are pretty tough? I heard that if they were very capable of taking the varsity spots last year but for whatever reason stayed with the JV??:confused:

Newport C Catholic has a very talented group of Juniors that should get plenty of varsity time this year. Many of them played on 2 knothole city championships.

Ryle has some good juniors who should compete for some starting positions if given the chance.

Looks like a lot of great talent returning for many teams. I know there is more and I can't think of their names right now.
