Cory and Mark Reed? Didn't have any pitching last year other then Brad.

I have to go with CCH. With Maile arguably the best player in the state as a junior. But will probably not get a recorded at bat if Ryle pitches to him like they did in the Regional Finals.

 

But I do believe the season relys on the role players like Shover, Holocher, and Darner. Also the rebound of Isler after his break down in the Regional Finals. Plus no pitcher in more confident than Danny Niehaus. As Ryle saw when he pitched againist them in game number 2 coming in with 2 outs and the bases loaded and getting out of the jam.

 

The seniors last year got these now juniors ready mentally for this next season. And to say a team that has little varsity experience like Ryle and who also lost their entire INF, OF, and the most important position C, seems a little obscured to me.

 

CCH will only run into trouble when they see Elliot (Beechwood) and Nichols(Dixie) on the mound. Who are the best 2 pitchers in the region.

Didn't Sainola pitch for CovCath last year????:confused::confused: He is no slouch...

 

He got a few looks at the varsity level but spent most of the season pitching JV. I would imagine he will be in the rotation this year.

Well i belive they have a heck of an 08' class, but Ryle is a shoe in to win the 9th and nobody else really stands a chance. :sleep:

Maile got his chance with nobody on and he grounded to second. Not many teams will pitch to a 3 or 4 hitter with a base runner in scoring position in a close game.

I believe many have stated on this thread that Ryle is far from a lock, but this varsity experience thing is way overated. Baseball is baseball and most of the players that will be starting on any of these top teams have played this summer in highly competitive leagues against other "varsity level" players.

Most Boone folks will tell you that pitching was a problem there last year, so tell us how it's going to get better this year. And your wrong about your last statement, I predict Ryle will repeat, but Beechwood and Cov Cath will have a shot at it as well.

I do not mean to interrupt boys ,but .I too am curious about Boones lineup .We all know about Farris and Reed .Who else do they have that is going to be a factor this year and what grade are they in ?There is 7 spots to fill to make that l/u a little better with 2 of the top in the region already there .

Cath returns 4 starters and the player of the year, and I am not even sure Beechwood lost anybody from a regional semi-finalist. So that is how they are proven more than players that didn't play varsity. Obviously Ryle has talent, but not proven, I'll take proven success every day of the week. You don't need to get upset everytime somebody doesn't pick Ryle. I have my opinion and you have yours. The best part is that what we say means nothing, the kids have to prove it on the field.

Me too, that's why I pick Ryle to repeat. As for PT, many Ryle juniors played down the streach. As a matter of fact, Braylen Chandler and Dylan Campbell played at Applebee's last year and Austin Seabold pitched there as well.

 

So that's 3 Ryle players that played at Applebee's last year vrs. zero from CCH or Beechwood. So at least we agree that experience helps.

No slouch at all! Heard he had an outstanding summer playing for a team that got to the national finals. Has had feelers from several colleges. (Ohio U & KY to name a couple). 6'4" / 210-20 left-hander P/1b should be able to crack CovCath's lineup.
