LSU @ UK...Thoughts?

Featured Replies

I kinda Figured they wouldn't have it in Lexington... Maybe if UK won they would have who knows.

I have a feeling by LSU by 3-4 touchdowns.

But, If UK can win they will have to:

Not let LSU score early and often, that will take the crown out and we can't afford that.

Control the clock with our running game and sure pass routes

Not turn the ball over.

LSU brings their Unanimous AP #1 ranking into Lexington and thumps the Wildcats pretty good.

LSU 42

UK 14

CBS will be doing their SEC tailgate in Lexington, whatever that means?

The Cats catch the Bayou Bengals at a good time. I don't know that the timing will be enough for a victory, though. I'm thinking the final score will be along the lines of

LSU 28

UK 24

LSU scores the first two touchdowns. UK answers with 10 points of their own. LSU adds a FG right before the half. 17-10 at halftime.

UK opens the 2nd half with a FG. LSU answers with a TD. UK with a TD. But UK withers in the 4th quarter and loses 45-27.

If the line protects Dre, the Cats will win in a close one.

Think positive Cat fans.

Stanford did.

Kentucky loses big.

And before anyone says anything about me being an Kentucky hater (I am) read some of the posts from Kentucky fans in the Louisville/Cincinnati thread.

There's 1 major difference.

UK is 5-1 with a loss to #7 South Carolina

UofL is 3-3 with losses to Syracuse (1-5!!!) and Utah (3-3)

I love how the same Cats fans that dog UL year in and year out about scheduling cupcakes are holding those three wins over cupcakes so sacredly...

Let's not get off path, this is UK vs LSU.

LSU might struggle early due to the Cats being fired up & the crowd but, after that they should roll. LSU 38-Ky 20

At last UK is beating their cupcakes. :sssh:

They had to start sometime....

Is Florida Atlantic a cupcake? That beat Minnesota? That took South Florida to the wire? I don't think they were as much of a cupcake as the outcome would have you think.

Regardless, LSU is bigger, stronger, and faster. A lot has to go right, and I said several posts ago, it starts with protecting the passer WAY better than they did against South Carolina (which, as we all know, is inferior to LSU in the Front 7).
