Patriots 34 Bengals 13

Featured Replies

It really is THAT easy. That is why he has been stopped so often over his career......

I believe it was Deltha who had good coverage the first time. He had him cornered, Randy used his height/reach/athletic ability to make the catch and had AMAZING footwork on the play.

2nd time around well it was Leon Hall.... do you need more info.

One thing is pretty clear. When in Baltimore Marvin didn't have much input on draft day...

Its easy to do that, but really, sit back and look at the 1st and 2nd rounders that aren't playing due to injury or suspension. Granted, I will concede that the suspension thing is something that was a known issue before the draft with the players, but seriously, how many teams can compete with that many 1st rounders not playing a down?

Take a step back and breathe. Imagine the Bengals with Odell, Pollack, Henry, Irons, Perry, Jeanty, Brooks, Brazell, Busing, and Eric Henderson. I'm not saying that it would vault this D to dominating status, but geez its been a tough year injury wise. Injuries are part of the game, it happens to every team, and most teams would be in the same situation as the Bengals if they had the rash of injuries at one position.

It will get worse before it gets better, but it will get better.......eventually.

I don't need to be talked off the ledge.

The core of the team was drafted before Marvin, and what we have seen since his hire isn't very comforting.

There is very little "next man in" mentality on this team. That's a major problem...

We have seen ticket prices go up $25 dollars per ticket/game! I don't know if they will justify it next year if they keep going up.

Only good thing about this is that they're playing the tough ones early, and the rest of the schedule is actually kinda down hill from hear as far as already having played the toughest games with the exception of our divisional opponenets.

12 men on the field after the quarter change? reminds of Coslet's team that started the year with a bonehead penalty. Marvin says after the game he is going to change personel. He doesn't have anyone to change. Also good thing they got Chatman back:creepy: Lets face it, the Pats are one of the premier teams in the NFL. No one really expected the Bengals to win this game. The Browns game is the one that exposed the Bengal's mediocrity.

Only 34 points scored by the Pats? Feel good Bengals fans, this is the lowest amount they've scored all year. :D

I'm w/ you. Palmer was a no brainer, but has Marvin ever had a good draft?

It was Joseph on the 1st TD. He was looking into the backfield the entire time, and when the ball came, he just stood there. He didn't even jump. I could understand if he was looking at Moss, but he wasn't.

One of the problems with the Bengals is that the Patriots lose stars and can replace them by bringing someone in that either they coach to play or they bring out the best. Bengals don't do that.

Look at the RB situation for the Patriots last night.

Look at the Patriots defense without Harrison and Seymour.

Look at how the Patriots lose player after player and seem to find someone else to plug the hole and perform.

That's one of the things that makes them so scary....they are without 3 key players and still dominate on both sides of the ball. I believe they currently have the #1 offense and defense in the league. They play as a team. Their are no "me" mentality players....not even Randy Moss. Obviously, he has played great so far this season, but his productivity is also helping other receivers get open. He is a huge asset to this team right now. Tom Brady is the man.

I hate to see the Bengals lose, but at least my favorite team is 4-0. I don't know what Cincy needs to do to fix their problems. It seems like the talent is there on the O side, but the "selfishness" is evident. I hope they can use the week off to pull things together.

Did I mention his career? :sssh: I certainly didn't....he is awesome....tonight's two td's weren't....some of today's DB's have shied away from getting physical with him, why? I have no idea....but I was OK in my day..and touchdown or not..he would remember attempting to make that play.

One of the things that I was harping on in preseason was my concern on the offensive line. I think it struggled last night. Carson was pressured and had the pocket collasping on him a lot. And then they struggled to provide steady holes for Watson. I am not sure I remember a clean run for him the whole night.

And against the Patriots, you must have an offensive line that can control the tempo of the game and keep Brady on the sidelines.
