lionfan13
Well, sure, if you want to go that route. Although, he has not pitched at Coors Field this year. Well, and then there's that. Good point.
stickymitts
Okay, so what if the Rockies make the playoffs? Will the balls have enough time in the humidor? Playoff rocks could be flying out of Coors...
cshs81
Will the balls have enough time in the humidor? Someone who doesn't follow baseball closely is reading the above with a discernable leve of puzzlement.

Honestly, it's the best 'treatment' they could find? I can't wait for 00Rocket to pm me about this 'treatment'...
Baseballguy
Love this Rockies Team, I'll be rooting for Helton and all those young guns in this one. Matt Holliday is a stud, and their young SS Tulowitzki could be ROY.
LRCW
Peavy's post season resume has been less than stellar. As a matter of fact it's been pretty bad. I believe the Rockies add to his frustration tonight. I predict Peavy gets knocked around pretty good by the Rockies.

stickymitts
Just heard on ESPN that the pitcher coming in to a one game playoff with the most wins, is undefeated... I think they said 5-0...FWIW...

I've hated Al Leiter ever since the Reds 1 game playoff. Great atmosphere, one of the biggest sporting events I've ever been to live, and ended so sAdly. mcpapa
Anybody have a strong preference (only one person has cast his lot with Colorado) for either the Padres or the Rockies? The Rockies are kind of a feel-good story, going something like 13-1 the last half of September to get this far. Nice story, but I don't get the idea that many think they have a chance even if they win tonight. Mike and Mike said the other day that there's no evidence to support the theory that the teams that are hot perform best in the post-season. cshs81
I've been watching playoff games since I was a youngster - 35 years or so - and this is the first playoff game I've ever watched where I had no clue who the announcers were.

Not necessarily the teams that are hot, but the ones that have to play until the last day instead of cruising into the playoffs... I mean, the Sawx and Cards were proof of that...
