EKUAlum05
In no way, do I feel that this will be how the situation unravels, but for the UK fans, I want to give us at least something to daydream about until next Thursday: Imagine that Kentucky breaks the streak against Steve "Superior" and goes into Columbia and exploits a USC defense missing their star LB Brinkley with easily the best offense the Gamecocks have seen all season. Imagine, that the turmoiled QB situation reaches a head and both USC QB's play horribly and help the Cats leave Columbia with a W and a 6-0 record...... Imagine that very Saturday, LSU exploits fully what Auburn and Ole Miss have exposed in the UF armor and beat Florida.... Now imagine... in the ONE game, that even optimistic UK fans have wrote this team off as having no chance, that UK plays with a chip on their shoulder. Imagine this Kentucky team, who enters ranked in the Top 10 thanks to the numerous upsets over the past couple weeks, remembers how it was LSU, with their 42-0 shelling last year in Baton Rouge, that showed these heralded UK Seniors that it was time to turn things around. Imagine that UK shocks LSU and pulls off the victory.... Imagine where we would be in the polls? Imagine where our BCS ranking would be? Imagine the chances of winning the SEC East? Imagine the momentum towards recruiting? Imagine the scene at Commonwealth Stadium? Have Fun Daydreaming... who knows!?!?
DragonFire
Dare to dream, dare to dream.... It is exciting, and despite that part of your brain that really knows it won't happen (or is so pessimistic that it thinks it knows), you do find yourself as a fan getting a little bit more excited. UK is first in the SEC East five weeks into the year. They are one of two undefeated teams in the SEC. They own a road win over one of the top teams in the SEC. And now if LSU can take care of business next week at home, and if UK beats USC, the Cats will actually have a two game cushion over Florida. Crazy stuff. NineOh
It was 49-0 last year if we're trying to be specific. I'll forgive you since you were daydreaming.
Guest Bluto
Great thread, and nicely crafted so that (hopefully) the naysayers will stay out of it. It IS fun to dream! :thumb:

00Rocket28
I've caught myself thinking all these things myself, I mean if you UF and LSU can beat up on each other and soften each other up a bit and UK stays healthy and with a few breaks, it COULD happen, I mean really how crazy would it be if by some grace of god UK could run the table and wind up in the NC against a USC or something? CRAZY!!!!

DADDY CAT
I keep thinking about something. We have played Florida somewhat close, something like 6 out of 8 games, and have a history of getting into wild, close games with LSU (sort of like Alabama never being able to totally shake Vandy). I know I'm comparing games to past games, which is never good, but we seem to be making better decisions and plays when close now than ever before. Could this be the year WE get the bounces???? EKUAlum05
Could this be the year that College Gameday comes to Lexington?
stickymitts
I heard that if UK wins Thursday night, there is a VERY good chance Gameday will be in Lexington the following week... Pretty good source...
JC Alumni 76
I like UK's chances against South Carolina. LSU is a great team so we would have to play our best game and have some breaks along the way. I think you have to give UK a chance in every game along the way with what the offense and defense has showed it is capable of.
