September 29, 200718 yr I don't know that USF would be considered a middle of the pack Big East team this season........With UL's defensive struggles and WVU's one dimensional offense (added to the fact that either White or Slayton seems to come up hurt in every big game) USF might end up being the best team in the league before all is said and done. Scary for the conference but very true.
September 29, 200718 yr I picked WVU but this is actualy not that big of an upset imo. USF is for real and as another poster has stated I don't think that many would want them right now. Jim Levitt imo is one of the finest coaches in Ameica, he is imo definately Underated. The talent in Florida high schools is absolutely amazing. To think that USF has a majority of in state kids - and that is with the likes of Miami, UF, FSU amoung quite a few other Florida teams whose rosters have a large number of in state kids. USF now is in the drivers seat for the Big East title, they have Rutgers next week I believe and still have Cincy left as well. Imo these three along with WVU are the best in the conference. Imo UC may very well decide who wins the Big East, I don't think that they will win it themselves this season but with their defense along with the defenses of USF and Rutgers makes these the front runners for te conference title. JMO

JMO Only 10 members of the USF roster are not home grown. 22 Mountaineers are from Florida as compared to 23 that hail from West Virginia. They play at Florida Atlantic next week. They are at Rutgers on Oct. 18. Cincinnati comes to Raymond James on Nov. 3rd.

September 29, 200718 yr If an Arkansas or Ole Miss beat Florida, you all would be marveling at the depth and toughness of the SEC. USF beats WVU and it's because WVU isn't really good....Sounds about right. Wow you did not just compare Fla to WVU. Or the BEast to the SEC.
September 29, 200718 yr USF might be the best tackling team I've seen all year; they play defense as well as any SEC team (well, besides that team from Louisiana). Their QB is a weak link, though, and he makes their offense less than impressive. Good win. Note to both teams: hold on to the ball.
