I agree and disagree at the same time. Keeping Slaton from getting in the endzone is definitely a feat, but if you can keep that from happening, Pat White can not beat you through the air...He has yet to do it, and IMO he won't do it. I'd take my chances and sell out against the run against WVU and make White beat you with his arm....

I agree...But there are some that didn't think that simply stopping Slaton could win the game...I think it can.

Now, if a middle of the pack SEC team beat a Big Dog, we'd be hearing about how deep the SEC is.....Same must be the case for the BEast, right?

You don't wanna run hills with how deep the SEC is they seem to show up often in both sports.

 

USF is a nice cinderella team... they play with a lot of energy. Almost hard not to cheer for them. Big East has a few middle of the pack teams this year. I am just very disappointed with the big dogs.

If an Arkansas or Ole Miss beat Florida, you all would be marveling at the depth and toughness of the SEC. USF beats WVU and it's because WVU isn't really good....Sounds about right.

I think the BEast is looking deeper than many, including me, thought they would be. Great effort by USF. This is a dangerous team.

What's more troubling is WVU has lost 2 in a row now to SF right? What does that say about the BEast big dogs? Are they elite teams as advertised or not that much better than SF?

That's what I saw. He went out with 20 seconds left in the first half and the score 14-0, 7 of that 14 coming from a White interception. Slaton and the vaunted phenom Devine had 88 yards between them, with Slaton coughing it up twice. The USF defense played an absolutely fantastic game. Much better than against Aurburn.

 

It's amazing how every team USF beats is all of the sudden overrated, or did not have all their personnel. I expect that attitude will prevent much advance in the top 20 as well. That's OK, though. Still got scoreboard. The atmosphere at RayJay was amazing tonight, too. They did a great job converting the field. It looked great. The Bulls and Bucs played there just last Saturday and Sunday and we haven't had much rain since then.

This WVU is the highest ranked team that USF has ever beaten...I'd say its safe to say it's the biggest win in that schools history...

 

And once again...If it was a middle of the pack SEC getting a win over a big dog, it wouldn't be because the big dog wasn't as good as advertised, it would be because the conference is so good top to bottom.

Just got a call from Swamprat. He's in the middle of the insanity on the field! He says it is total chaos. I just hope he doesn't get hurt by falling off the goal post! :eek:

It sounded like I was on the field, but I was actually in the upper section. That's how loud it was 15 minutes after the game ended. I've been to many college games, and have never experienced anything like that. :banana::banana::banana:

I don't know that USF would be considered a middle of the pack Big East team this season........With UL's defensive struggles and WVU's one dimensional offense (added to the fact that either White or Slayton seems to come up hurt in every big game) USF might end up being the best team in the league before all is said and done.
