Middle School Basketball

qryche11, Thanks it really gets frustrating, but it's part of playing sports. I'm looking forward to watching a lot of these teams and kids play in the future. Kentucky's class of 2013 is loaded with talented players. I hope to see you in a gym, in the near future. Good luck to the Bird's in the Middle School State Tournament.:thumb:

Summit View 49, CC Purple 36. Sampson had his way tonight, scoring at will. Swanson did a good job running the point, scoring when needed. Will follow up later with the final at Woodland.

GRYCHE11, that is correct. I would have to assume this has not been followed all season for a handful of teams due to a variety of student factors. It is also my understanding that this is the first year there have been any issues in many, many years revolving around players/participation/etc. It is ironic that the issues/complaints continue to come from the same county district.

7th Purple lost, but 6th Purple won by 16, 37 - 21. The 6th Purple played man for the first time this year (heart fluttering). 7th Purple coach proves more and more every day of his moronic being. If CCMS brings him back next year, I know a couple of 6th graders that won't be playing middle school ball!:fight:

I agree, the class of 2013 is loaded with talent. More so than any class I have seen in a while.:ylsuper:

Watch out for those Clark Moores braves. They are 26-0. Pretty stout! 8th grade that is.

What will make the class of 2013, so special is the competition level. I love watching all these kids play from across the state.

I try to keep up with them as much as possible. I love hearing good things about each of them. I call this class " The Fun Bunch" as alway their fun to watch play.

Who has clark moores played non conference other than Georgetown?

Sharp (PC) won this morning at Holmes 36-37. The game was a good one as both teams started out strong, playing very hard. Towards the end of the third it was all tied up as Mason Monroe came out sick with some issues with his stomach. He wasn't able to get back into the game until about 4 minutes left in the fourth in a very tight match-up and the Wildcats struggled a bit without Monroe in the game.

PC was down 2 with about 11 seconds left in the game and Garrett Appleman drained a deep three from the corner off a nice look from Monroe to give the Wildcats a one point lead. Holmes then tried to get a quick shot off, but Appleman got the steal to secure another win for Sharp Middle School.

Sharp MS improves to 23-6 on the season with only one loss in their conference. The re-match is Monday night at Pendleton!

Nice win for the Sharp Wildcats who haven't looked real sharp of ate, no PUN intended, but are still finding ways to win! Two games this week & then they head to the Middle School 7th grade State Tourney in Lexington @ the KBA!!!

AS long as the district isnt the one violating I dont see what the problem is with trying to keep middle school basketball an even playing field.

Congrats to the PC boys and to the young Appleman boy for nailing the 3 ball at crunch time. I am assuming that McClendon was not in uniform.

Thanks the Birds will be ready, they are all excited about coming down and representing the 9th region. Win or lose it will be fun and a good chance for myself to see some of the other good teams in this class. I am really hoping we can get by LTMS in that first round. Playing at 12:45 is a lot tougher than at 2pm. Staying away from that lower right hand bracket is key as well.

The Birds are playing well as of late and have a nice combination of size/athletes and good guard play. Rotating 9/10 kids in and out of games has been key and they will get after you aggressively.

You Assume Right McCendon Was Not In Uniform.
