CC Purple 6th and 7th grade LOST to Twenhofel tonight.

The Purple 6th grade coach is a moron. He doesn't have a clue. His zone offense is pass it around until someone is open. He presses and watches the other team score basket after basket, but still presses. 6th grade purple beat Twenhofel by 23 last time, but this time they ran a box and 1 on Geiman. He only scored 5 in the first half with the team total at 8 - FOR THE HALF! In the second half Geiman scored 14 (4 - 3's), but no help from anyone on the floor = LOSS. Final score 28 - 25.

McGovney started off strong, out jumping Racke for the tip, then making a ridiculous play where he chased down a loose ball showing off his quickness, then slashing to the bucket getting fouled on the way up. However, the 7th grade coach suffers the same condition as the 6th grade coach - He's a moron too! He only plays 5 kids (only 3 of them deserve to be on the floor)the majority of the game and wore them out, while Twenhofel played 9, maybe 10 staying fresh. He has a kid on his bench who can knock down shots and handle the ball, but doesn't play him because he thinks he's too small (5' guard) He'd rather play a kid who's 5' 4", can't dribble, can't shoot, can't play defense, can't rebound, doesn't have a clue, but he's taller. MORON!

CCMS better get a clue or they will not be represented in the NKMSBL championship game at any division.

Twenhofel 6th and 7th grade both won today.

7th's score was 59 to 52.

Moron is a little harsh, the coach actually had a very good game plan with the trap defense he was running.

Trust me, it's not harsh. I've watched him all year, he's clueless. He has a very good athlete who makes him look good at times. The half court trap defense once figured out is useless, especially with the shooters Twenhofel has.

Summit View rolled over Turkeyfoot tonight 64-27. High scoring honors were shared by Sampson (22) and Huesman (40) with 16 each. Didn't seem to be missing McClendon much...they moved the ball extremely well and played the usual solid "D". Everyone with a jersey on scored for the Jags.

Thats a nice win for the boys after losing McClendon but I still think it will be tough for Summit to roll in the tournament. They beat Highlands by 4 points early in the season with McClendon in a game where Highlands led the whole way but decided that having a lead and the ball meant they needed to turn it over 4 times in the last 90 seconds. You were there you saw what happend on 3 straight possessions and they still had a chance to win. Not sure you can hang your hat on just two guards in a tourney, you need a stud but we shall see. I have been known to eat crow before.

Twenhofel is putting up some points. I think they are a sleeper in the tourney on the other side of the bracket.

As far as CC Purple, I really wish Highlands could have played them twice this season. Playing them Dec 1st that early in the season and not showing up that night was disappointing and I think a rematch would have given them a victory. McGovney is basically that whole team and if Boom is talking about a kid on the bench who doesnt play and is small who used to be a KING then I agree. He is a tough little kid who has played in big games before and can knock down shots. Thats ashame only 5 kids are being played at Middle School level. Heck the Birds have been rotating 9-10 all year long and at times I wish they would only play 5-7 during some games.

Middle school teams should be trying to play at least 8 or 9 every game. But then again, they should be at least attempting to play man to man defense at least some. Oh well, my son looks good in green!

Sampson's not a guard, you're thinking of Swanson. Sampson was hurt when Summit played Highlands. Summit plays Twenhofel on Feb. 5th, so we'll get to see how we stand without McClendon.

I think he would look better in blue and white....:D:D

I don't like the taste of cake. However, I do know 2 kids from our Wolfpack team who go to CCMS, that will be attending Highlands. Both football studs with CC Red Devils as well. (Big Aggressive Linemen)

Ok, I got ya. We have played agaisnt Sampson plenty of times as he is a Firehawk. He will make a difference and team chemistry is probably better at this point so I wish you all the best in the tourney. Good Luck.

Huesman is the one that drained the big 3's against us. I can gurantee ya if we face off again in the finals of the tourney there will be a lot of man-man and less 1-3-1 with McClendon gone.

I am assuming they are current 6th graders and that is good news as the 6th grade class at HMS is lacking in any size at all. They have some very good guards and an extremely talented 5th grade class this year who will be 6th next year and most probably make the 7th grade team. Beau Hoge/Griffin Urlage and Jakey Whitford are a few I can see making that squad next year. In fact Beau Hoge could play 7th grade ball right now, he has a great handle, is aggressive and a very talented playmaker.

Names on those kids on the wolfpack? Do they attend CCMS?
