UK gets a butt whooping....Cards rollllllllllllllllllllll.....

OH C........A............T.............S............. CATS CATS CATS!!!!!!

UK 48

Ul 42

I was thinking UK would win, but if you can't win the trenches you can't win the game.

Cats 27

Cards 48

Let's keep it real. I'm both a Louisville and Kentucky fan. But all fairness, let's be realistic, Kentucky stands no chance against the Cards. I'm picking Louisville to win 48-27.

Of course everyone would love to see the Cats pull off the upset, but it's not happening, Brian Brohm is too prepared. The Cards coming off a un-focused game against Middle Tenn. look for the Cards to win this one by 3 TD's.

Are you joking me?

I told her I can't believe she is making me go, and she was like it's just a game, and I was like IT'S THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR in Kentucky.

I told her, i'll go with you, hoping some reverse physcology would work but it didn't. lol...

Putting your foot down and standing up for your rights always works better than reverse psychology. Make sure your girlfriend doesn't forget her cell phone, so she call call somebody to get that giant beer can off of you...:jump:

^Definitely not good for UK....

It actually is good for UK...those injuries could have been much worse...

I was really feeling good about UK's chances until Farva informed us that Herbstreit had UL on upset alert. If he thinks its possible, then it probably isnt. Herbstreit may have given us the "kiss of death."

I think UK has a real shot at winning this game. I don't understand why people are saying UL by 3TDs. That doesn't make sense to me. I do think UK losing 2 very good D-tackles hurts though. Other guys are going to have to step up.

Something else that definitly plays in UK's favor is the home field advantage. The crowd is going to be as fired up and loud as its ever been.

I believe Pryor will play and be effective on Sat., his MRI was negative and it is a strained pectoral muscle. A few days off and anti-inflamatory should have him ready to go.

The line has been moving in UK's direction, down from 8.5 to 6, so people were loading up on UK.

Now with Lumpkin out and Pryor likely out, that does change some things. Peters, Lumpkin, and Pryor are really the only three legit SEC type sized tackles on the roster...so the script for Anthony Allen may have increased in dosage.

I just don't see UK being able to match scores with UL at this juncture. I think it will be high scoring, but unless there is a rash of turnovers on UL's side, I don't see UK winning.

If UK is going to win this game they are going to have to control the ball and have success running the football. Coincidentially, the last time UK beat UL, they controlled the ball with Artose Pinner carrying the load. Unfortunately, for UK the last few matchups, they have not been close to controlling the ball on the ground. That has to change this week if UK wants to have a shot at winning.

I would like to think the gap is closing, and hopefully it will be a good show.

That's about the way I see it. I wasn't real confident our defense would stop U of L's running game at full strength...take away our best DT's and it could be real ugly. I wouldn't be surprised if U of L ran the ball and controlled a lot of clock...

I could see them getting an early lead, and if their defense isn't playing real well, feeding the ball to Allen to keep UK's offense off the field. That's what UK needs to do, but I think U of L is far more likely to pull it off.

Are you joking me?

Are you serious? Why would Kentucky stand a chance against UofL honestly?? Yea, UK is doing pretty decent this year, but let's face reality now, Louisville by 3TD's wake up.:creepy:

UL should definitely be the favorite, but to completely rule out UK's chances at this point is ludacris. UL's defense has struggled in the first two games (as has UK's), but both teams have very effective offenses with weapons everywhere. Throw in the fact that this is a rivalry game and the game is being played in Lexington and I don't see any reason why the game won't be competitive.

When breaking down games, I do not try to say Brohm vs. Woodson, Allen vs. Little, etc. they never go against one another and is really flawed logic.

UL Pass Offense > UK Pass Defense. Not necessarily because UK's secondary is terrible, but the UL passing attack and inability to put pressure on the QB lets Brohm have a field day.

UL Run Offense > UK Run Defense. Seriously, do I have to explain.

UL Special teams - Kicking is really solid and will force UK to travel the length of the field as well as not missing anything inside the 40 yard line. Return game is good, but nothing special, imo.

UK Pass Offense > UL Pass Defense. Similar to that of the UK explanation.

UK Run offense > UL Run Defense. Although I do think UL has a better shot of slowing down UK running the ball than the other way around, UL has to be a little concerned they nearly made the MTSU running back a Heisman Candidate.

UK Special teams. When Burton gets the ball, hold on to your seats. When UK is kicking/punting, hold on to your seats for the opposite reason.

Coaching. Kind of odd to think this, but I may lean a little towards Grandpa Brooks (not by much). Not that I think Kragthorpe is bad or not better than Brooks, but maybe the players have yet to fully adjust to his style and system.

In short, I really think the experience of UL will prevail. Each will struggle at times stopping one another, but UL should be able to score at an easier pace than UK.
