September 2, 200719 yr Kicking game was awful...Woodson missed a few wide open receivers bad. The Cats may finish 6-6 this year.
September 2, 200719 yr One positive I saw from the defense was EKU had numerous 3rd and shorts Should translate well to the SEC...
September 2, 200719 yr Should translate well to the SEC... Last year it didn't matter who the opponent was, in those situations they were converting.
September 2, 200719 yr Is Seiber dating Rich Brooks' daughter or something? Surely Tydlacka or even Masthay can put an extra point through the crossbars.
September 2, 200719 yr Is Seiber dating Rich Brooks' daughter or something? Surely Tydlacka or even Masthay can put an extra point through the crossbars. :thumb: Thats what I was thinking as well.
September 2, 200719 yr Is Seiber dating Rich Brooks' daughter or something? Surely Tydlacka or even Masthay can put an extra point through the crossbars. Agreed. Something must change. If UK hopes to upset some big dogs this year they must improve in the kicking game. 'Cats looked sharp for the most part. The O Line looked extremely well. On to Kent St... let's not look past them.
September 2, 200719 yr I was watching the offensive line during warm-ups, the most athletic bunch UK has had in some time. None of the guys with bellies hanging over and they could all run. Killed me to see them passing the ball close to the goal line. There comes a time when you need to run the ball.
September 2, 200719 yr Kicking game was awful...Woodson missed a few wide open receivers bad. The Cats may finish 6-6 this year. :thumb: I have said all along that U.K. may very well be better this season an dnot have a better record. The OOC is tougher and the SEC is as always the SEC.
September 2, 200719 yr I thought the defense looked really good. I had never seen a Kentucky team basically shut the other team down defensively since Brooks was here. While EKU isn't a top notch opponent by any means, UK did look good on the defensive side of the ball.
September 2, 200719 yr Looking at just the boxscore, EKU rushers avg. more than 5 yds per carry. UK must improve on that aspect of the game. The defense was missing some key players that will help the run defense, Pryer,Mabry & Kelly as well as McClinton.
September 2, 200719 yr Kicking game was awful...Woodson missed a few wide open receivers bad. The Cats may finish 6-6 this year. You need to up that prediction, if Woodson stays healthy!
September 2, 200719 yr Looking at just the boxscore, EKU rushers avg. more than 5 yds per carry. UK must improve on that aspect of the game. Eastern had a couple big runs against the reserves late in the game, which certainly helped boost their average. Mark Dunn, former Harrodsburg star, looked really good running the ball for Eastern.
September 2, 200719 yr Well I think the UK defense didn't try as much as they would if it was Florida with the run game but the offense looked awesome. UK has a lot of depth on the running game. Woodson looked sharp and so did Hartline. Defense will probably be a lot more physical, being it'll be the game before Louisville! Woodson has definitely looked better. A few underthrows and I dont know about the fade routes and jump balls to Dicky. Hartline did NOT look sharp with a pick and a fumble. He looked like a freshman in his first game, which is completely true. D did look better. Running game could come up big this year if all are healthy. Special teams needs improvement.
