I am not disagreeing with you, but that kinda sounds odd, saying that an Ironton Game is a Rebound game. I will guarantee you that a bad Ironton team is better than most Good Ky teams, unfortunately. I personally still think it was crazy to put Thomas at QB, much like a lot of other fans. But hey, maybe Coach Hart has lost confidence in him at RB too.:sssh: What exactly was the deciding factor in moving Thomas back to RB?? I didnt see either game so wondering what part of his game there was disappointing? Thomas is a tremendous athlete just have to figure out the best spot for him.

 

Its all formation based for moving Thomas to RB against Pikeville. When Thomas went to RB the QB usually only hands the ball off, so why not use the "tremendous athlete" at a spot that he can make an impact? I hope that explaination helps.

 

As far as Ironton goes they have a living legend of a coach back at the helm this year and I'm pretty sure that Coach Hart and the Tomcats will not take the Tigers lightly. Ashland has many young players that need to learn how mentally prepare for game because IMO its not coaching or the lack of talent.

Lets not make The Fighting Tigers any madder then what they are.Im sure any Ironton team will be well coached in the fundementals of footballl.(IMO)The best team we have faced yet.Im sure Ironton will be the most aggressive team we have played so far or will face except maybe JC.

If... and I mean if, Ashland can beat Ironton Friday night it will be huge. Ironton is not the Ironton of norm, and everyone knows it, but if Ashland can pull off the win then moral will be extremely re-boosted. Ashland has not beat the Tigers since the 1990 season and all of us here in Atown know what this would mean to not only the players but the fan base.

 

Ashland beats Ironton - The season is revived and the Tomcats make the playoffs.

 

Ashland gets beat - I give them chances to beat Boyd and Greenup for no other reason than skill level this year.
