Pikeville is a very good class A program, congrats panthers as for Ashland Coach Hart better find some answers, Ashland fans don't like sub .500 seasons and it could be one with Montgomery Co. better, fast Woodford Co. and physical Johnson Central in the district

And Russell an Boyd and Greenup :scared: They may get lucky this week and beat one of Irontons worst teams ever, but thats not a sure thing.

This game was a real shocker. Congratuations, Panthers!

I am sure that Coach Hart will field a competitive team by the end of the season but the Tomcats are digging themselves a big hole by dropping back-to-back home games to two 1A teams. The final playoff spot may come down go to the winner of the Ashland-Bryan Station game and the Tomcats have already proven that they are vulnerable at home this season.

^ Welcome to BGP AF.
Thanks. It's great to see the Pikeville and Raceland programs on the rise again. I am looking forward to seeing how these EKY teams do in the playoffs this season. Hopefully Ashland will bounce back and make a good post season showing too.

Lets not make The Fighting Tigers any madder then what they are.Im sure any Ironton team will be well coached in the fundementals of footballl.(IMO)The best team we have faced yet.Im sure Ironton will be the most aggressive team we have played so far or will face except maybe JC.

Maybe a thread should be started on this topic.:thumb:

Are you shocked that they lost or how badly they lost?

Pikeville is rated higher in 1A than Raceland is.

Hart will right the ship.

Raceland and Pikeville caught Ashland at the right time IMO...I would like to see Carter and Thomas both at RB...that would be one of the toughest RB duos around, even in 5A...I think Ashland will be a completely different team come playoff time...

I am shocked that a well coached 5A school has lost back to back home games to 1A teams. Now that you mention it, the fact that Pikeville dominated the Tomcats was also a shock. Neither Raceland nor Pikeville sneaked up on Ashland and surprised them.

Ironton next week. I look for the Tomcats to rebound.

I am not disagreeing with you, but that kinda sounds odd, saying that an Ironton Game is a Rebound game. I will guarantee you that a bad Ironton team is better than most Good Ky teams, unfortunately. I personally still think it was crazy to put Thomas at QB, much like a lot of other fans. But hey, maybe Coach Hart has lost confidence in him at RB too.:sssh: What exactly was the deciding factor in moving Thomas back to RB?? I didnt see either game so wondering what part of his game there was disappointing? Thomas is a tremendous athlete just have to figure out the best spot for him.

I hear what you are saying. BUT Ironton is not the Ironton you have known for the past 20 plus years. You can take this to the bank. Ashland will beat Ironton and all Ashlands fans will be back on here after the game. If I'm wrong I will be on here eating crow. I like it well done with lots of salt and pepper. Now go out ther and take care of some fighting tigers.
