:thumb: :thumb: I have heard and read on here about Ashland losing to 2 class A schools and some people think that then sky is falling in Ashland. Ashland has lost to two very good class A schools and programs. Tomcats will improve and will be fine.............mark it down.

 

Oldrambler, I think you've had one too many cups of Tomcat koolaid. It sounded very much to me as though Coach Hart will be starting from square one with his offense. Didn't he ditch Thomas and play the soph QB in the 2nd half? I agree that both Raceland and Pikeville are quality 1A representatives, but for Ashland to have any kind of season they have to put a team on the field that can execute. JMO

About what I expected.

Anyone have any stats on Carter? Did have another huge game like last week. I also seen on the update thread that Coach Hart moved Thomas from QB back to RB in the 2nd half. Did Matt perform better from that position?

Hey spindoc when will "The Hill" be starting there high school football program? Just Curious.

Hang in there Cats! We all need to remember that there are only 4-5 kids out there for Ashland that have had any varsity experience. They are a young and inexperienced team. I also think there is a lot of talent on this team, they just need to be taught and get some experience under their belts.

I don't know about that. I believe that they had about 12 penalties and 3-4 of them were for late hits out of bounds. That many still seem silly to me.

At least 2 of those were "Putnam Penalties". Daniel Harmon was returning a punt and got called for one. Chaz Jackson pushed a the QB who was running the ball out of bounds and got called for one. This might be the best Ive seen Pikeville look in the "Coach J" era. Good win tonight boys!!!!

Nice win for Pikeville, thought it would be a closer game. Ashland is young they will be tested all season long.

So what should Coach Hart do in this situation. As Dicky said it last night. Ashland paid money to have Raceland and Pikeville come to Putnam and give them a Butt whipping. I have no idea what should be done. Ironton next week should be a win for Ashland. Then Russell. Then it only gets worse. They start playing teams on there own level. No home fiield advantage. No

1-A teams. They start playing the big boys. Coach Hart will regroup and win some key games that count. Lets face it. These games really don't count. It may just make Ashland hungry.
