When Hopson wants to play he is far and away the best player in the state. That is no knock on Miller. He is great and never takes a play off.

Its not about avg points. Its about a skill set of a 6-0 footer. If your under 6-5 you better be a ball handler and passer. He is a very good shooter but 6-0 wings who can shoot are a dime a dozen.

Ferguson is extremely over rated. A lot of kids could get his numbers if given the time and shots that he gets. Ethan Faulkner is the main man for the Lions and the only Lion that could be considered a true D1 (low d1)prospect. Timmy Knipp possibly in the future if his attitude improves and learns to play hard each time out.

Im predicting that Russell puts in a half back pass and scores a td on it and that Coach Hart will run a sweep right before half time instead of sitting on the ball.

Maybe Coach Hart should worry less about high school basketball and more on high school football in the off season???

Jay you have hit the nail on the head with that one. The good people at Ashland are masters of manipulation and as long as the Ramblers play nice with them the Tomcats will throw them a bone every now and then. Let Raceland go against Ashland and see what happens. My guess is big brother will smack little brother around.

GC wins two out of three on Friday night. They have the best cheerleaders and band but sadly enough cant pull the upset on the field. Russell comes out strong but Ivan will keep the margin of victory respectable.

hey slick go back and look at some of Elliotts teams in the past and I think you will find more than a few that are more talented than the present team. Ethan sets the table and the rest follow along. Ferguson is a GREAT high school scorer but he gets a ton of points by leaking out and letting the Faulkners do the rebounding. Dont get me wrong Jonathon is a very good player and deserving of all the pub he gets.

Elliott has always had players with some talent and ability but Ethan takes them to another level. He will make some college coach a happy camper.

Elliott is hard to contend with due to the Faulkner's level of competitiveness. Ethan is the heart and soul of the team as he goes they go.

Add a piece to the puzzle. Is Fairview recruiting someone??
