It would be fair for Maddux and Jim Kaat (16 consecutive Gold Gloves) to share the honor. Wes Parker is too early for me to recall. I may update a bit and go with Keith Hernandez, who was fantastic with the glove.

I know that Bill James' massive volume on the Greatest players of all time list Joe Morgan the all-time greatest 2nd baseman, even ahead of Rogers Horensby. One of his greatest mathmatical helps in the selection was based on his gold gloves and fielding percentages. Morgan had unbelievable numbers to go with his unbelievable ego. (And I'm a huge Morgan Fan. :thumb: )

No, I was not old enough to remember Bench playing, but I have for Pudge. It never fails that any team he goes to they are relatively successful. Best throw out % of all time, more gold gloves in less seasons. I know Bench probably "revolutionized" the position which counts for a lot in baseball debates, but Pudge has been amazing in my book.
