Dlbdonn
How many of you have a spouse (Husband or Wife ) or even yourself that that when service is bad at a restaurant, complain to the manager or even send letters to the corperate offices . My wife (God Bless Her ) does this regularly and because of this coupons for free meals magically appear in our mailbox .

Henry521
I have never complained even if I don't like it. I just never go back and tell my friends it wasn't good. Personnally I think that is more effective than a free meal here and there. If they give you a free meal they think you satisfied and they aren't correcting the problem. But if noone shows up at the resturuant, they will figure out real quick that either the food or the service is not up to par.

MBWC41
I can honestly say that I have not once in my life complained out loud about service of any kind. Sure I've said something to one of my buddies or something like that when I got home but I've never been close to asking for a manager or anything like that. Not my style. I'm a very easy going guy and realize that for the most part, people won't go out of their way to make you have a bad experience at a resturaunt or any other business. Someone would have to really try hard for me to speak up about any type of service.
cvillecat
I usually give them the benefit of the doubt but after the second bad experience I will speak up. I won't accept another order or go back due to the trust factor. They may remember it was you that complained last time and add a little extra to your order.

sportsfan41
I can't bring myself to it, but my family, and my current GF can.
Boucher
When asked by a manager how my meal was, I'm honest. I've never written a corporate offce to complain.
rockmom
I'm all for people complaining when something doesn't meet their expectations. But, I do have a problem with people who don't say anything at the time the situation occurs. I don't know of any place that wouldn't do their darndest to rectify the situation right then and there. But, I do respect that some people just don't like to address the situation then and there, because they're with their family, or whatever. I also have a problem with people who won't complain to anyone, but will just never come back, and tell everyone how awful their experience was. This doesn't give the establishment an opportunity to rectify the situation, and doesn't bring to their attention that something needs to be addressed. I don't see how that's fair to the establishment in question. Don't even get me started on people who use the complaint strategy to always get some sort of compensation...and there are people like that. I know one of those. My ex's dad is exactly like that. The man is allergic to onions, garlic, and pork. He shouldn't be going out anywhere to eat. He always complained about something. It got so bad that I refused to go out to eat with him anymore. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with that anymore.
75center
She complains regularly? Not sure how to take that. Does she truly run into that many bad circumstances that warrant complaining or is she trying for free meals? I'll run into a problem once in a while that I complain about but it certainly isn't very often.
h.s.sportsrbest
I have never complained even if I don't like it. I just never go back and tell my friends it wasn't good. Ditto for me Hank. :thumb: Why would I want to go back and get another crappy meal...for free? I use two things as my leverage: if the service is bad the gratuity suffers and if the food is bad I don't come back. Less fanfare (as opposed to complaining) but it hits where they'll notice.
