I only gave my opinion about the food. Sorry I offended you I also said some places that I truly enjoy eating while there. To me goetta and your type of chili are no good. Just my opinion.

Yeah, people here are known for rheir somewhat "reflective" nature. They treat people the way they ask to be treated. Good observation! :thumb:

* LaRosa's Pizza is absolutely, certifiably, horrible.

* I am as Northern KY as it gets and I hate Goetta. Diff'rent strokes I guess.

* My shoulder is chip-less, for the record. I will say the folks in Lexington / Central KY are as friendly as it gets, but I think the VAST majority of folks in NKY are as well.

* I must be the weird bird, I like Dixie, Empress, Skyline...and heck, I'll even eat Gold Star if it's convenient (although by far my least favorite). Of course, I'm also the guy that will eat Wendy's Chili with my double when my car tells me it is 102 outside.

As far as chili places go, Dixie Chili on Monmouth Street in Newport is the best. I recommend trying it out.

If you have time stop off in Bellevue, Pasquale's steak hoagies are the best I'v ever had. Top it off by walking across the street for a Scneider's ice ball with ice cream in the middle. :thumb:

Okay if you are going to do chili go to Dixie Chili in Newport or Erlanger. Now for a good pizza and the best you can get is Dewey's Pizza at Newport on the Levi and accross the street is the Hofbrau Haus for German food and spirits. You can not go wrong with any one of these fine establishments. JD

Supporting Deweys is the same as supporting the StL Cardinals. They do have good pizza, but this is a matter of homerism.

I'll go to the grave saying that chilli was the grossest chilli I've ever had, but I cant say anything bad about the area or the people up there. I loved the area, even though it was hard to navigate ,it was a nice area with plenty to do and friendly people and have said countless times to my friends I would like to move back there someday and raise a family ,its a good area with a lot of good schools

 

So for the chilli I have to say GAG!!!!
