August 4, 200719 yr I absolutely can't stand those AARP commercials featuring kids lecturing you about how we should fix social security because we made promises we couldn't keep. Imagine, using the very generation that will be saddled with paying for the mess when the ponzi scheme comes crashing down. Despicable.

I especially can't stand when that fat guy whines, "I'm six times faster." Then he comes back at the end and says, "I told you I was six times faster!" I want to hurt whoever came up with that idea. :irked: There was one that was much worse though. Thankfully, it's been off the air for a few years. It was an ITT commercial that featured the highly amplified sound of someone typing out messages throughout the commercial. It was so horribly grating on the nerves that it just demanded your attention. I'm sure it was highly successful in that respect; but I would bet that it turned off more prospects than it won. By the way, as I'm typing this, I just heard a distant voice from the living room saying, "I'm six times faster..."
