I could see the possibility of A-Rod juicing. He may have natural talent but he is the fastest player to ever reach 500 homeruns, not singles or doubles, homeruns. And I wouldn't absolutely agree that he doesn't look the part of a steroid user. He is a large man, 6'3" 225 according to ESPN. I'm not saying he is a user or not, just stirring the pot.

Im not saying its not true. Wouldnt shock me if any baseball was using. Im just saying you wrote a book, your time is over, fade away. What does he do for a job now? He must go around and dig up dirt for his books. He should have named all his players in the first book and let it go. Just my way of thinking, nothing more nothing less.

A-Rod has no comment on Canseco's words about new book

 

When Jose Canseco wrote "Juiced" in 2005, he brought the issue of steroids in Major League Baseball to the forefront. Now, Canseco has another book due this fall and he promises some juicy info on Alex Rodriguez.

 

Canseco told WEEI-Radio in Boston on Friday that he has "other stuff" on the Yankees slugger, who he called a "hypocrite" who "was not all he appeared to be."

 

When asked if A-Rod had used steroids, Canseco told WEEI, "Wait and see."

Given that much of his first book was speculation and guessing, I suspect that all Canseco has on A-Rod is more speculation and guessing. I'd bet he actually knows bupkis.

Probably so - but he did hit the nail on the head with McGwire and Palmeiro.

 

He was a firsthand witness, or supposedly was. Huge difference.

I don't know who I would be most afraid of in this situation if I were Canseco. Arod, Steinbrenner, or the Corleono's. He better not be doing this to make money and have some factual evidence.

I hope it is not true. Baseball does not need any more negative press. Attendance is up, records are being broken and it is getting close to playoff time. I would hate to see any distractions just as the pennant races heat up.

I know one thing for sure - I would say that Canseco is no longer a favorite in clubhouses!

 

I guess my point is that whether it is true or not, everyone will automatically jump on Bonds and say no doubt, he's a cheater. Everyone will be the complete opposite with AROD and the only way he'd ever be labelled a cheater is if they hired a 3rd party team of the world's greatest phycisians to come in and hold an independent steroid test in front of live cameras in an underground sterile facility under military guard for the whole world to see. Why? Because AROD is likeable and as ESPN says - he's more "NOW".

Canseco is such a publicity hound, hopefully it's just a ploy, hope it's not anything about off the field events.

To this day I still kick myself for not going to see AROD play when he was in Double A ball for the Mariners while in Jacksonville, FL.

 

Of course no one could have ever imagined how great he would become with or without "help".

If he is using roids he needs to quit. This 0-17 slump with 5 strikeouts will speak out agianst the juice.
