July 29, 200719 yr Just came across this story on ESPN.com. I wonder how the media and fans will react to this news? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2953302 A-Rod has no comment on Canseco's words about new book When Jose Canseco wrote "Juiced" in 2005, he brought the issue of steroids in Major League Baseball to the forefront. Now, Canseco has another book due this fall and he promises some juicy info on Alex Rodriguez. Canseco told WEEI-Radio in Boston on Friday that he has "other stuff" on the Yankees slugger, who he called a "hypocrite" who "was not all he appeared to be." When asked if A-Rod had used steroids, Canseco told WEEI, "Wait and see." :dancingpa
July 29, 200719 yr Author Probably so - but he did hit the nail on the head with McGwire and Palmeiro.
July 29, 200719 yr Probably so - but he did hit the nail on the head with McGwire and Palmeiro. True, but neither was as naturally gifted as A-Rod is when it comes to the game of baseball, and nothing in his numbers suggest that he has used steriods, and he does not show any physical signs of using steriods, where as Mcgwire and Raffy did.

I know one thing for sure - I would say that Canseco is no longer a favorite in clubhouses! I guess my point is that whether it is true or not, everyone will automatically jump on Bonds and say no doubt, he's a cheater. Everyone will be the complete opposite with AROD and the only way he'd ever be labelled a cheater is if they hired a 3rd party team of the world's greatest phycisians to come in and hold an independent steroid test in front of live cameras in an underground sterile facility under military guard for the whole world to see. Why? Because AROD is likeable and as ESPN says - he's more "NOW".

July 29, 200719 yr Canseco may be trying to sell books, but he was spot on with his other allegations, why would he not be here? Wireman, you're correct, everyone will automatically jump on Bonds for it (allegedly), but will deny to no end that ARod potentially used.
July 29, 200719 yr Not including 1994-1995 where he hit only 5 combined homers in 65 games, because you can not really count rookie and sophomore years for a young player like he was when he came up. 1996- 36 1997- 23 1998- 42 1999- 42 2000- 41 2001- 52 2002- 57 2003- 47 2004- 36 2005- 48 2006- 35 2007- 35 so far No big jump like Bonds from 49 to 73. No signs in appearance or numbers that suggest steroid user.
July 29, 200719 yr Wouldn't surprise me at all if A-Rod cut a corner here or there. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if Canseco was just trying to get a few more bucks out of this as well.
July 29, 200719 yr Jose Canseco done us all a favor in showing the world how bad steroids are/were in baseball, but he has done that and now needs to "JUST SHUT UP" and go away.
